Here is my card for this weeks Cutie Sunday Challenge. The base card I have covered with some green card and then over that some rather funky paper, then some green paisley effect paper for the circle. Then I have used a H&S cute image and coloured her in with Copiic marker pens then cut the image out and stuck her down in the middle of the circle. Then added some retro effect ribbons bringing out the colours of the papers used. The sentiments are from the CB range of sentiments and I have also coloured these to match the colours I have used on my card. Thanks for droppin by.
Here is my card for this weeks Penny Black Challenge. The challenge was any season , so with xmas in everyones mind around now I have made another xmas card. The Penny Black image is one of the new xmas stamps of the little mice and hedgehogs carol singing, I have coloured them in with my Copiic markers and matted the image on to some beige card and then some brown for the bottom layer. On my base card I have used some of the beige card and then used some of this lovely brown paper from my local craft shop for the next base. Then I have mat and layered the sentiment the same as the image. Down the fold of the card I have added some brown tinsel effect ribbon from Papermania xmas range, its nice ansd sparkly. Then a brown flower to finish it off. Thanks for dropping by.
This is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge. I have used some green spotty card on my base card and then some retro style fun paper with circles on it. I have then used this lovely Joanna Sheen stamp for my image and coloured the image with Copiic marker pens, then matted that on to some more of the spotty card and added some stitched effect around the image. Then used some red ribbon across the bottom and red and blue/grey flowers and secured them with a flower shaped brad. The diamond shape has again been taken from the green spotty card and the sentiment added to that to finish off the sketch. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my entry for this weeks Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge, which was to make an ATC and use it differently. So I have added mine to a notebook. My ATC have covered with Papermania xmas papers and then I have added my stamped winter image of Tilda . To colour her in I have used my Copiic Marker pens, added a piece of gold xmas sentiment ribbon and a lovely red flower with the sentiment Hello inside the flower. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge. The base is covered with some spotty pink card from Craft Central. Then I have used some vibrant striped paper with pinks, browns and oranges on it. I have used a cute Tilda image and coloured her in using my new Copiic markers and matted the image onto some brown card and stuck her onto the card using double sided tape. The sentiment has been stuck down onto first a brown piece of card and then a pink piece and some sticky foam pads to give it a raised effect. Then I have used some Prima flowers in the same colours to finish the card off. Thanks for dropping by.
On a Friday I always take my mum out, as she has Parkinsons Disease and can't walk very far. We go shopping and then I take her to play bingo, as she enjoys doing this. Well there is a lovely art and craft store where we go shopping and I thought I would go in there and ask if they sold Pro Markers. So I asked the young man about these pens in the store. He was very helpful and told me the only Manger pens they now sold were Copiic Ciao markers so I thought I would give these a try. He even gave me a sheet of paper on to try out the various colours, which I was very surprised at because they don't usually do that for you. He told me they were £2.99 each but if I bought five they were £2.oo each, so I thought I will only buy five as I thought this was an expensive way of buying them and didn't have a lot of cash with me either(as NEC show coming up soon) As he was putting them into the bag he also asked me if I would like a colour chart of the pens, so I could see which ones I had bought for reference, which was also very kind of him. Anyway I took mum into the bingo and we won 100.00 between us, so I went back to the art store and purchased anothe rfive of these markers and I know I should'nt but it was a treat out of my winnings and last night I had a bit of a paly with them and you know what they are lovely but I will buy some Pro Markers at the show I think and just treat myself now and again to another Copiic marker.
This is my card for this weeks Cutie Sunday Challenge and as usual I am on the wire with this one. I usually do most of my challenges on a Friday but am behind this week. I usually catch up on a Friday as this is my day off but next week I am starting a new job and won't have a day off so don't know when I will get my challenges done but I will try and fit them in somehow, as one has to relax sometime! Well I used a blue base card and then added some dark blue card to this and a piece of the new Dovecraft range of xmas papers. Then I added some blue glittery braid from the new xmas Papermania range, then added the circle of blue snowflake card. My image is the same Sugar Nellie stamp as I used before and this time I have coloured her in with Whisper pens and stuck her onto the circle, which i have doodled stitching around the edge of. The sentiment is anothe CB one and that has been matted onto some more of the xmas paper. And to finish the sketch off a couple of blue flowers and alarge blue xmas brad again from the Dovecraft range. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my card for this weeks My Time to Craft Challenge, and the theme was blue and white. I have used some hand made paper with snowflakes on my base card and then added some white card with a wavy edge to give the effect as snow. Then used a piece of white ribbon across the top of the card to split the card up a little. The I have used this Sugar Nellie image, which I have to say is one of my favourites out of that range and used distress inks to colour her in. Had to cheat here and use brown here for her hair as she would have looked weird with blue hair or even white for that matter at her young age! Then I have used a sentiment stamped from my CB range of greetings and added a few blue snowflake brads onto the white snowy bit and stuck my image half way down. Then to finish off a couple of blue flowers. Thanks for dropping by
I would like to thank my dear friend Becky for these two awards she has given me. I would like to apologise for taking so long to upload them but did not know what to do and when I ask any of my kids they just moan and groan!!!!!! If you are supposed to pass them on please feel free to take them if you visit my blog, as I am still unsure what to do and how to pass them on. I think I may have to spend all weekend on my blog to do some work on it. It will probably take me all weekend to do something it would take my kids five minutes to do, oh joy! I should just add there, thats if I can get on it at all.!!!!!!!!
Here is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge. I have used green card as my base and then used some green spotty card to do the next layer and then a strip of the base green card to go across the middle of the sketch. Then I have used a circle of gold mirri board and a smaller cirlcle of green in the middle. I have added some glittery braid across the green strip and then stuck my circle down 0n top of the this. I have used a Cuddly Buddly stamped image from the Giggle Gang and coloured him in with my Whisper pens and then cut him out and stuck him down with foam pads. I have added some green jewel stones around the gold circle and then the sentiment I have added to the top corner. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge. The base card is covered in self adhesive purple glitter paper, then I have used some blue/purple snowflake glittery paper to put my image onto. The Tilda image I have coloured in with Whisper pens and matted her onto some more of the sticky glitter paper. Down the other side I have used some of the new Papermania Ribbon range, I used two rows of purple and one green in the centre. Then added two purple flowers and secured them with white snowflake brads. To finish it off the sentiment on the bottom , once again matted onto the purple glitter paper. Thanks for dropping by.
This card is for two challenges this week Cute Card Thursday & Penny Black Challenge. I have combined the two challenges as the Cute Thursday Challenge Thursday was food and this little Penny Black stamp with the cake was the only one I could find , so hope it counts. I have used some dusky pink card as the base on my card, then used some pretty spotty paper on top of that. Then I have used the stamped image of the little mice with the birthday cake and coloured the image with Whisper pens and matted it on to some more dusky pink card and the sentiment has been done the same way, and then they have both been stuck down with foam pads. Then to finish it off a couple of purple flowers and purple brads. The inside of my card had to be decorated for the Penny Black Challenge, so I have used the matching striped paper ( to the spotty paper)to cover the inside of the card, used a sentiment and used some dusky pink card to mat it and then finished the inside off with some bright yellow flowers. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my card for this weeks Spoonful of Sugar Challenge -which was a Christmas card. I used one of the new Papermania xmas stamps, a cute reindeer with baubles stuck on his antlers. I used distress inks to colour him in and the matted the image onto some gold card and just finished the image off with some square jewel embellisments. The base card is covered with some Dovecraft xmas paper . The sentiment has been cut out and matted onto some more gold card and once again finished with some red jewels. To finish the card off a pink and brown flower. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my ATC for this weeks Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge, the theme was pink, blue and green. Firstly I used my stamped image of Tilda and cut her out and coloured her in using my Whisper pens. Then I used some K&Co paper with all three colours on it and used this to cover my ATC. Then I stuck my image down with foam pads and added soem Papermania funky green ribbon down one edge and added a sentiment on with a little pink brad. Then to finish it, a green and blue flower secured with a green flower brad. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my take on this weeks Dotties World Challenge, which was to use a song theme on your card. So I used the cute image with the mistletoe and made a christmas card. I have coloured the image in with my Whisper pens and then mounted it onto some Papermania xmas paper from last years range. The base card was layered with some bright green card and then some red bauble paper from my local craft shop. Then I took another couple of pieces from the green card and put a strip down one side of the card and another shorter piece above the image. The side strip has another strip of xmas green paper down it and embellished with flowers and christmas brads. The song Shirley Bassey's "Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me" I have written on white card and layered that on to the shorter green card and finished it off with a snowflake brad. Thanks for dropping by.
I thought I would pop theses sepia cards onto my blog that I have just made. They are desigend by a local artist here in the North East and show days gone by and titled Remember When. I recently purchased the kits for a card my mum wanted making for an eldery lady. They show days gone by like the lady baking on the big stove and the smell wafting out of the window, the old sweet shop with every sweet you can think of written on the jars and finally Mr Whippy ice cream van. These are great decoupage sets and the artist has also made a man themed set and has just started doing xmas sets which I have to say are gorgeous. The sets can also be bought in colour, sort of like a coloured pencil effect but I much prefer the sepia. Thanks for dropping by.
If you are looking for my challenges they may have gone down a page due to my keep updating my blog this weekend.
These are the two invites my brother and his future wife have picked, they couldn't decide on one or the other so have decided to have half of one, half of the other just to make life more complicated. They didn't pick either of my faves but it is there day and so will go with the flow, so only another 40 of each to make now. So my DD at Arlines Allsorts I will be depending on your help when we see you in October. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my card for this weeks Penny Black Challenge, a mans card but no blue. Sorry to all who have looked for this before I was sure I put on my blog yesterday but apparently I didn't!!!!!!! Must have been having a brain storm! Anyway this cute little image I have used of the cat with his balloons and coloured him in with Whisper pens. The base card I have used some dark brown card and then covered that with this lovely stripey paper (wish I could remember where I bought this as I quite like it, oh well never mind my ramblings) Then I have used some srtips of the brown card and stuck them down the side of the card. Then I have matted my image onto some more of the brown card and placed that over the top of the larger strip. The sentiment I have matted too onto the brown card and placed that over the smaller strip. To fininsh it off I have used some buttons to match some of the stripes out of the paper. Thanks for dropping by.
Just thought I would pop these wedding invitations onto my blog that I have been designing this week for my brother and his future wife. They are getting married in July next year and it is 2nd time round for both of them and my daughters and I are going to make 100 invites for them when they have decided what they want. Their colour theme is gold and cream. As they are coming this week for a holiday thought I had better have some for them to have a look at, as a example.

Then I have taken some gold mirri board and made a bookmark shape out of it and used a stamped image from Dottie of a Tin Soldier, coloured it in with Whisper pens and finished it off with some red ribbon, and so enabled it to be taken out of the pocket. Thanks for dropping by.

Here is my card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge, which was pink! I think I may have over done the pink thing here a little, but I have enjoyed making this weeks challenge. On to base card I have used some dark pink card, the across the middle I have used some rather ornate card, which I purchased in a small pack whilst I was away at my daughters in Stoke. Then I have used some lighter pink card and set it at an angle across the card and drew some fake stitches on this piece. Then I have taken some pink spotty paper and scalloped the edge and placed that down on the top of the card. Next I have taken a stamped image of Tilda with her tray of jam tarts and coloured her in with Whisper pens, cut her out and stuck her down onto the spotty paper. Then I have taken some thin pink organza ribbon and threaded some pink wooden beads on to it and then stuck it down inside the card with tape. I have coloured her in with Whisper pens a lovely pink and given her pink ballet shoes too. Then I have covered the base card with some striped pink paper, added some tiny cream flowers and some even tinier pink buttons for the centres. The sentiment I have used reads "The Longest Journey Starts with the First Step" and I am sure any one who has trained as a ballerina would agree with that statement. Thanks for dropping by!
Here is my entry to this weeks Spoonful of Sugar Challenge, which was anything but a card. So I have made a cute ATC for this challenge. I have used a stamped image from the Sugar Nellie range of stamps and then coloured her in with my Whisper pens, then I have cut her out. On the base of my card I have used some pretty K&Co paper and then I have mounted my image with some foam pads to give her a raised effect. I have then used some orange gingham ribbon down the side of the ATC and tied it with a bow. Then to finish it off I have used a stamped sentiment from my Cuddly Buddly stamps and a orange coloured maple leaf brad. Thanks for dropping by.
Here is my card for this weeks Cutie Sunday Challenge which was a sketch. I have matted my base card with some pink card and then I have used some lovely backing paper bought at my local craft warehouse for only 25p, a great bargain! Its very funky. I then ripped this along a scallop edged ruler and placed it onto my card, then I took a piece of K&Co to co-ordinate with the base paper, picking out the pink tones and cut a circle out of this and stuck that down into the middle of the card. I cut out a stamped image of Tilda and a set of her steps and coloured them in with distress inks and then I stuck Tilda onto her steps and stuck them down onto the card in the centre. I added a couple of funky spotty flowers from once again the Joanna Sheen site(you will have guessed by now that I love these flowers!!!!!!!!!) I coloured her in using my Whisper pens and then cut her out and sat her on a set of stamped imaged steps, which I also coloured in using Whisper pens. I stuck the images down onto the embossed vellum and then added a couple of ice blue flowers on the bottom corner. On the top corner I added a christmas sentiment and to finish it off I added some white ribbon and tied it down the side of my card. Thanks for dropping by.
