Friday Sketchers Challenge.

Here is my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge. The base is covered with some spotty pink card from Craft Central. Then I have used some vibrant striped paper with pinks, browns and oranges on it. I have used a cute Tilda image and coloured her in using my new Copiic markers and matted the image onto some brown card and stuck her onto the card using double sided tape. The sentiment has been stuck down onto first a brown piece of card and then a pink piece and some sticky foam pads to give it a raised effect. Then I have used some Prima flowers in the same colours to finish the card off. Thanks for dropping by.

How Exciting!!!!

On a Friday I always take my mum out, as she has Parkinsons Disease and can't walk very far. We go shopping and then I take her to play bingo, as she enjoys doing this. Well there is a lovely art and craft store where we go shopping and I thought I would go in there and ask if they sold Pro Markers. So I asked the young man about these pens in the store. He was very helpful and told me the only Manger pens they now sold were Copiic Ciao markers so I thought I would give these a try. He even gave me a sheet of paper on to try out the various colours, which I was very surprised at because they don't usually do that for you. He told me they were £2.99 each but if I bought five they were £2.oo each, so I thought I will only buy five as I thought this was an expensive way of buying them and didn't have a lot of cash with me either(as NEC show coming up soon) As he was putting them into the bag he also asked me if I would like a colour chart of the pens, so I could see which ones I had bought for reference, which was also very kind of him. Anyway I took mum into the bingo and we won 100.00 between us, so I went back to the art store and purchased anothe rfive of these markers and I know I should'nt but it was a treat out of my winnings and last night I had a bit of a paly with them and you know what they are lovely but I will buy some Pro Markers at the show I think and just treat myself now and again to another Copiic marker.

Cutie Sunday Challenge

This is my card for this weeks Cutie Sunday Challenge and as usual I am on the wire with this one. I usually do most of my challenges on a Friday but am behind this week. I usually catch up on a Friday as this is my day off but next week I am starting a new job and won't have a day off so don't know when I will get my challenges done but I will try and fit them in somehow, as one has to relax sometime! Well I used a blue base card and then added some dark blue card to this and a piece of the new Dovecraft range of xmas papers. Then I added some blue glittery braid from the new xmas Papermania range, then added the circle of blue snowflake card. My image is the same Sugar Nellie stamp as I used before and this time I have coloured her in with Whisper pens and stuck her onto the circle, which i have doodled stitching around the edge of. The sentiment is anothe CB one and that has been matted onto some more of the xmas paper. And to finish the sketch off a couple of blue flowers and alarge blue xmas brad again from the Dovecraft range. Thanks for dropping by.

My Time to Craft Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks My Time to Craft Challenge, and the theme was blue and white. I have used some hand made paper with snowflakes on my base card and then added some white card with a wavy edge to give the effect as snow. Then used a piece of white ribbon across the top of the card to split the card up a little. The I have used this Sugar Nellie image, which I have to say is one of my favourites out of that range and used distress inks to colour her in. Had to cheat here and use brown here for her hair as she would have looked weird with blue hair or even white for that matter at her young age! Then I have used a sentiment stamped from my CB range of greetings and added a few blue snowflake brads onto the white snowy bit and stuck my image half way down. Then to finish off a couple of blue flowers. Thanks for dropping by

Two Challenges In One !!!!!!!!!!!

This card is for two challenges this week Cute Card Thursday & Penny Black Challenge. I have combined the two challenges as the Cute Thursday Challenge Thursday was food and this little Penny Black stamp with the cake was the only one I could find , so hope it counts. I have used some dusky pink card as the base on my card, then used some pretty spotty paper on top of that. Then I have used the stamped image of the little mice with the birthday cake and coloured the image with Whisper pens and matted it on to some more dusky pink card and the sentiment has been done the same way, and then they have both been stuck down with foam pads. Then to finish it off a couple of purple flowers and purple brads. The inside of my card had to be decorated for the Penny Black Challenge, so I have used the matching striped paper ( to the spotty paper)to cover the inside of the card, used a sentiment and used some dusky pink card to mat it and then finished the inside off with some bright yellow flowers. Thanks for dropping by.

Dotties World Challlenge- A song Title

Here is my take on this weeks Dotties World Challenge, which was to use a song theme on your card. So I used the cute image with the mistletoe and made a christmas card. I have coloured the image in with my Whisper pens and then mounted it onto some Papermania xmas paper from last years range. The base card was layered with some bright green card and then some red bauble paper from my local craft shop. Then I took another couple of pieces from the green card and put a strip down one side of the card and another shorter piece above the image. The side strip has another strip of xmas green paper down it and embellished with flowers and christmas brads. The song Shirley Bassey's "Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me" I have written on white card and layered that on to the shorter green card and finished it off with a snowflake brad. Thanks for dropping by.

Remeber When.........

I thought I would pop theses sepia cards onto my blog that I have just made. They are desigend by a local artist here in the North East and show days gone by and titled Remember When. I recently purchased the kits for a card my mum wanted making for an eldery lady. They show days gone by like the lady baking on the big stove and the smell wafting out of the window, the old sweet shop with every sweet you can think of written on the jars and finally Mr Whippy ice cream van. These are great decoupage sets and the artist has also made a man themed set and has just started doing xmas sets which I have to say are gorgeous. The sets can also be bought in colour, sort of like a coloured pencil effect but I much prefer the sepia. Thanks for dropping by.

If you are looking for my challenges they may have gone down a page due to my keep updating my blog this weekend.

And The Winners Were!!!!!!!!!

These are the two invites my brother and his future wife have picked, they couldn't decide on one or the other so have decided to have half of one, half of the other just to make life more complicated. They didn't pick either of my faves but it is there day and so will go with the flow, so only another 40 of each to make now. So my DD at Arlines Allsorts I will be depending on your help when we see you in October. Thanks for dropping by.

Here is my card for this weeks Cutie Sunday Challenge which was a sketch. I have matted my base card with some pink card and then I have used some lovely backing paper bought at my local craft warehouse for only 25p, a great bargain! Its very funky. I then ripped this along a scallop edged ruler and placed it onto my card, then I took a piece of K&Co to co-ordinate with the base paper, picking out the pink tones and cut a circle out of this and stuck that down into the middle of the card. I cut out a stamped image of Tilda and a set of her steps and coloured them in with distress inks and then I stuck Tilda onto her steps and stuck them down onto the card in the centre. I stuck the images down onto the embossed vellum and then added a couple of ice blue flowers on the bottom corner.
