Cute Card Thursday Challenge- Water

Here is my card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge which this week was water. So on my base card I have used some yellow card to start as my base. Then I have used a Sugar Nelly stamped image of them in the rock pool, I think this stamp is so cute. I have coloured them in with distress inks . Then I have used two pieces of blue card and layered them with some stripey seaside papers , which came free in a mag some time ago,. Then I stuck the stamped image onto one of them and over lapped it onto the other one and stuck a sentiment on that one. To finish it off I have used some blue Papermania flowers and secured them with a brad. Thanks for looking at my blog.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge. I enjoyed making this challenge , although I did get myself in a terrible state with some double sided tape which kept unraveling at the most awkward times. However this is what I eventually put together. I stuck a square of pretty K&Co butterfly paper down onto the base card and then used a semi-circular shape of this lovely polka dot purple card, as in the sketch to layer halfway over the top Then I have used another new stamp from the Giggle Gang from Cuddly Buddly, this time a sweet little girl. I have coloured her in using Whisper pens and then matted her onto some lime card to pick up the colours I have used to colour her in with. I have then used a sentiment stamp, again from Cuddly Buddly and stuck this down with some sticky pads. To finish the sketch off I have added a strip of the green card down the semi circle shape and added three flowers, of matching colours. Thanks for dropping by.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge. On my base card I have used some green Bazzil Bling card, then I have used some matt brown card on top of that. Then I have used some lovely striped paper and placed that on top of the brown card. Next I have used another of my new stamps from Cuddly Buddly he is from the Giggle Gang range and he is so cute, don't you think! I have used distress inks to colour him in and then taking two of the colours from the stripes I have mat and layered him onto card and doodled around him just to make him stand out. Then I cut a stripe of brown card and stuck it down the side of the card and mounted a sentiment onto a circle of pink card and stuck it down with sticky pads. Then I have taken another sentiment and mat and layered that with they same colours as the image and stuck that down too with sticky pads and just to fininsh him off anothe flower from the Joannan Sheen site. Thanks for dropping by.

Spoonful of Sugar Challenge-Ribbons!

Here is my card for the Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge this week it was to use ribbons. I bought this lovely red backing board last week in my local craft warehouse and have used this for the base on the card. Then I have used some Anitas christmas sentiments ribbon and overlaid it onto the card in three places. I have then taken my lovely new stamp of Father Christmas, which I have just purchased from Cuddly Buddly and stamped him onto some white card and then coloured him in with distress inks. I have then mounted him onto some holographic red card and stuck it down flat with some tape, I have just added some tiny red buttons to finish the image off. Then I have added a christmas sentiment on the bottom corner and a flower on the top corner with a larger button in the centre to finish it off. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black Challenge!

Hereis my card for the Penny Black Challenge this week and the theme was stars and stripes and of course a Penny Black image. I have put some dark turquoise card onto the base card and then I have used some Dovecraft papers from last years range which are stripes. Then I have used a christmas stamped image of these cute little hedgehogs on their sledgeand coloured them with Whisper pens and mounted it onto some silver mirri board and the again onto the turquoise card and stuck down with some sticky pads. Then I have added some wooden silver stars, which I picked up after xmas last year in the B&Q sale and knew they would come in useful some time. I have then added a red christmas sentiment, again I have stuck this down with sticky pads to give a raised effect. To finish it off I have added a couple of flowers from the Joanna Sheen site and secured it with a brad out of the new Dovecraft range. Thanks for looking.

Cutie Sunday Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Cutie Sunday Challenge. I have used a larger card this time and used some beige card as a base and then I have covered it with this with this lovely brown christmas paper which I bought at my local craft shop, and I think I may have to go and purchase some more as I like it that much! I then used this cute stamped image of Tilda with her sledge and coloured her using my Whisper pens. On her fur I have used some white Stickle glue to add some glitz! Then I have used some Anitas turquoise blue ribbon and threaded it through a gold buckle and cut a sentiment from the sentiments paper, to match the brown paper and stuck it down to some beige card once again and stuck it down with some foam pads. Then I have added three turquoise brads up the right hand side and to finish it off some lovely Prima flowers in beige and turquoise and secured with brads, I have really enjoyed making this card and its one of my faves so far! Thanks for dropping by to have a look.

Friday Sketches Challenge

Here is my card for the Friday Sketches Challenge. I have decided to make another xmas card here. I covered the botton of my card with some pale lilac card and then used a piece of lovely glitzy purple xmas paper with sentiments on, but I am afraid you can't see it very well on this photo. Then I have used a Tilda image and coloured her in with distress inks and mounted her onto pale lilac card too and just doodle stitched around the border. I have then stamped a christmas sentiment stamp from Cuddly Buddly onto some white card and then mounted it onto some lilac card then I have finished it off with some Prima flowers and a couple of brads. Thanks for taking the trouble to pop in.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Here is my entry for this weeks the Sketch Saturday Challenge. I have used on my base card some lovely Bazzil bling card and then some pink spotty paper from K and Co, which I purchased while out shopping at the weekend. I have then taken some more brightly striped paper also from K and Co and layered it across the top paper. Then I have used a Penny Balck stamped image of dear old Ted with his brolly and coloured him in with Whisper pens and layered him onto some lovely mint green card. Then I have then gone back to my pink bling card and mounted a couple of sentiments on to that and then to finish it all off I have doodle stitched around the spotty paper. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Dotties World Challenge

Here is my attempt at this weeks Dotties World Challenge which was to use a tag, hearts and flowers. I have covered my card wuith some Anitas christmas paper and then I have picked a colour out of the paper and mounted my image on to the wine coloured card, and coloured them in with my Whisper pens. I have then stuck some little heart buttons onto the corner and some flowers from Joanna Sheen on the other corner, once again picking up the theme for the colours of my base paper. Then I have taken some wine coloured organza ribbon and threaded a christmas sentiment tag onto the top of it and fastened it of with a bow. Thanks for looking.

Penny Black Challenge

Here is my entry into this weeks challenge for the Penny Black Challenge, which was not to use a card. So I decided to make an ATC. I used a stamped image of the little Penny Black hedgehog and coloured him in with distress inks and then I cut him out and mounted him on to the ATC with some foam pads. The base of the ATC is covered with some of the new Dovecraft papers and then I have added a piece of Anitas christmas ribbon with script on and then finished it off with a Prima flower and a christmas brad which I had in my box from last year. Sorry the picture isnt very good once again but thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday

Her is my entry for this weeks Cute Card Thursday. The theme was anything bright. I have used some peach card for my base and then I have used some very vibrant orange coloured papers which were once again free in a craft mag and used them across the centre of the card. Then I have used this lovely stamp of Tilda with her flower basket and coloured her in with distress inks, using oranges and pinks. Then I have added some Prima flowers and secured them with some lovely Dovecraft brads. I then added a little Penny Black stamp for the sentiment. I hope you will agree that she will brighten up any day .Thanks for looking.

My Time To Craft Challenge

This is my card for this weeks on My Time To Craft Challenge. The them this week was a recipe of items you had to use a flower, 2 buttons, a ribbon and some glitter. I used some pink Bazzil Bling card as my base and then used some freebie papers thast I got free last month with a craft mag. I then mounted an image of Tilda with her jam tarts on to some more pink card and cloloured her in using the Whisper pens once again. I then just put some glitter gel onto her wings andher jam tarts, although it does not show up very well in this picture. I then stuck a piece of brightly coloured ribbon from Hobbycraft along the side, used a sentiment also from the free papers from the mag and mounted that also onto some pink card. Then just to finish her off I used a lovely dotty flower from Joanna Sheen and two pink buttons above the image. Hope you like my card and thanks for looking.

A spoonful of Sugar Challenge

Here is my take on this weeks challenge for Spoonful of Sugar Challenge! Once again I have used quite a large card. First I used a purple base of pearlescent card to start with. Then I used some rather gorgeous paper from Crafters Companion, given to me by my daughter Arline, as she knows I love purple. Then I used a plain piece of silver paper to break up the design and then used a bar of the purple card and mounted some of the patterned paper across this to make the bar effect in the middle of the card. Then I used a stamped Tilda image and coloured her in using my Cosmic Shimmer powders and she glistens lovely under the light, if you catch it just right. Then I mounted the image onto some more of the purple card and stuck her on so she is raised with some sticky pads. To finish it off I have used some pretty purple flowers with a brad from Hobbycraft and a sentiment onto purple card. Thanks for looking.

Dotties World Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Dotties World Challenge and the theme was pink! I used a downloaded image of Dottie carol singing, with her better half and the cat!! Here I have backed my card with the new funky pink Christmas Range from Anitas and as she is called Dottie , what a better way to start than to give her some bright pink dotty paper! I then used another piece out of the same pack and it had pink stars on it just to break up the pink a little bit. Then I coloured the image in with my Whisper pens, making them both very pink! Except the cat of course, whoever heard of a pink cat! I finished the image of by placing a pink jewel on each corner of the image and then I ifnishe it off by printing a sentiment from Cuddly Buddly stamps and mounted that onto some pink card. Thanks for looking.

Cutie Sunday Challenge

Here is my card for the Cutie Sunday Challenge. The theme was a sketch with some tags on. I have used a large card on this challenge as I couldn't fit onto a small card what ~I wanted to do with the sketch. I used some green card to mat my card with first and then I used some of the new Christmas Dovecrafts papers to make a pocket on the bottom of my card to hold my tags in. I cut a wavy border onto the top of my pocket just to give it a different effect. Then I used a stamped image of Father Christmas and coloured this in with distress inks and matted him onto a piece of the green card and then put that onto some gold mirri board. Then for the sentiment I used some little letters from the Dovecraft tin of Traditional Christmas Tags to read Merry Xmas and mat and layered that the same way as the image. Then I took two of the lovely tags that match the paper and threaded some gold Merry Christmas ribbon throught them and tied them and secured them into the pocket. Thanks for looking .

Tilda and Co Challenge

Here is my card this wek for Tilda and Co Challenge , which this week was a blue and white theme. I used a blue square card and used some of the new Anitas Christmas Blue papers for the bckground. Then used a rather cute stamped image of Tilda lying down thinking about what she would like for xmas, like most of us girls lol. I then used my distress inks to colour her in, using my new ink which is Broken China a turquoisy blue, which I love, as the main colur blue. Then I added a couple of blue flowers and a cool Christmas sentiment, which I only bought last week , when out with my two daughters. Thanks for looking at my card and hope you like it. Once again apologies for the poor quality of the picture!

Penny Black Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks Penny Black Challenge which was to use ribbon. I used this sweet little mouse looking at his Christmas list for Santa. I then coloured him in with distress inks and matted him onto some gold mirri board and added a small red ribboned bow. I then used some of the new Dovecraft Xams papers to layer my card and then I took a narrow bit of gold mirri board and added an Anitas red Christmas Wishes ribbon. To finish it off I have used a sentiment from Michelle Marsdens Xams pack which I bought last year and layered that onto mirri board too. Sorry the pics aren't very good this week but we have just bought a new camera and its being a bit temperamental at the moment . Thanks for taking the time to look at my card

Friday Sketchers Challenge!

Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge! I thought I would combine it with the theme of Christmas and thats another one made!! I stuck some pale blue card onto my base card, then I stuck some rather pretty blue snowflake glittery handmade paper, which I bought this week. I then stamped the Tilda with lantern image onto white card and I coloured her in with some Cosmic Shimmer Powders(which if you add water too they look like pearlescent paints) this was the first time I had used them but love the effect they have given. Then I have used a sentiment from some labels I got yesterday and layered them onto silver mirri board. Once my image was dry I mounted her onto silver mirri board too. I finished it off by crosssing some thin silver ribbon over the top of the card. Thanks for lookingx

Cut Card Thursday Challenge!!!

This is my entry for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge! The theme this week was to use some soft furnishings eg material, ribbons etc. I layered my card with some green Bazzil bling card, and then I used some lovely sticky backed material, I bought some months ago at a local craft show. The lovely colours of greens and oranges were then my theme to colour Tilda in. I stamped the images and then used distress inks to colour her and the hedge in with. I then cut a circular piece of orange card out and stuck it down. Then I cut out Tilda and the hedge and stuck them down with the effect of Tilda sitting on the hedge . Then cut another strip of the orange card out and stuck it down the side of the card and put some green and brown flowers, from the Joanna Sheen on line shop down the side and two orange buttons to finish it off with. Then I did some fake stitching around the circle, which I think just finishes it off.

Another Two Challenges In One!!!!!!

Phew! Here is my entry for the Friday Sketchers Challenge and Dotties World! This one was a real challenge for me, being new to challenges but I did them both. I used a download from the Dotties World Christmas Collection and used Whisper pens to colour them in, then I have mounted that onto some of the new Anitas Christmas Papers . My card is once more covered in some Bazzil bling green card(I blame my eldest daughter for all the Bazzil bling card use as she introduced me to it lol) The Dotties challenge was to combine a Dottie image with another challenge. The sketch was the challenge from Friday Sketchers, it was very challenging as you had to curl the paper/card that your image was on and twist the ribbons(and get them to stay on and twisted lol) I curled the edge of the paper with a pokey tool and used distress inks to colour the edges in. My ribbons I have used two and twisted them together, then I have used a couple of Prima flowers and secured them with a little christmas tree, which is like felt to touch and is from the new Anitas christmas range. I have added a christmas sentiment and some square gems to finish it off.

Two Challenges in One!

This is my entry for Papertake Challenge and the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge. The Papertake challenge was to have button/buttons on tne card, while the Spoonful of Sugar Challenge was to have a secret message on it, so here I have combined the two. I used a Sugar Nellie stamp of her in the rain, splashing around and coloured her in using my distress inks in yellows and oranges. Then I used some Bazzil bling card to cover my card and then used some lovely yellow flowered paper , which I got free in some magazine and I love it, before I stuck it down onto my card I made a little flap on it to put my hidden message in. Then I mounted my stamped image on to some reddy/orange card and stuck it down with foam pads, to give it a raised effect. I then added some Prima flowers with flower brads to secure them and then I added some buttons on the top corner and one on the flap of the secret message. I then just wrote my secret message on in free hand.

Lots to do Challenge

This my entry for the Lots to Do Challenge, my first entry into this challenge. The theme was oriental, one of my favourites themes. I have used a large stamp of a cute geisha girl, which I bought last year from the NEC craft show, she is so cute that I couldnt resist her! Then I used my Whisper pens to colour her in, mounted her onto purple pearlescent card and added some square gems to finish her off. Then I covered my card with some lovely oriental paper, which I only bought on Monday , with this challenge in mind. I then put some purple Dovecraft ribbon down the side and added some small cute fans and secured with tiny brads, finishing it off with a greeting.

My Time To Craft Challenge-Cats

This is my entry for My Time to Craft Challenge this week , which was cats. I used an A5 card for this one. I covered the card with some lovely cat themed papers the I bought about a year ago and knew they would come in useful one day! The stamp and sentiment stamps are from Ellsybelles and they are so cute this is the first time I have used them. The cat I have coloured in with distress inks and then mounted on to Bazzil bling card and finished it off with some cat themed brads I had from a local craft shop. The sentiment is typed here as you can not read it properly from the picture and it is lovely.

He sat there very comfortably,
humming a little tune,
while I was busy at my chores,
he lazed all afternoon.
Now dosen't it seem unfair to you
that he should be doing that?
If I come back in another life,
I too, must be a cat!

Isn't that a lovely poem, which I purchased when I bought the stamp! Thought I would share this with you as its so sweet.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge

Here are my ATCS for Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge! The theme was to make the four seasons with Tilda on them. I have stamped my images and coloured them all with distress inks and then cut them out and covered the atcs with papers I had in my box. I have added sentiments out of a book I have had in the drawer for ages and just knew it would come in handy sometime! Then I have added some appropriate brads depending on the theme of the season. I have really enjoyed making these as I love making ATC's and I hope you will enjoy looking a them.

Tilda and Co Challenge!

This is my Tilda and Co Challenge this week. It was to use Tilda to make a Christmas Card. This stamped image is very cute as she is sitting on her present , as if to say no one is getting this pressie! I have used some Bazzil card as the base colour, then some of the new Anitas Christmas papers. This time I have coloured Tilda in with the Whisper pens but with a water brush to get a different effect. I have finished the card of with some Prima flowers and a brad, a sentiment from Cuddly Buddly and a piece of the Anita christmas ribbon across the top of the card.

Cutie Sunday Challenge!

This is my card for the Cutie Sunday Challenge! The theme was to use a large shaped jigsaw piece and some flowers. I used distress inks in shades of pinks and blues and added some lovely flowers which I bought from the Joanna Sheen site and finished it off with a sentiment from Cuddly Buddly stamps. I hope you like my challenge attempt as this is only my second week of trying to do the challenges and as I am just learning how to blog please accept my apologies if I dont do something correct but I am trying much to the annoyance and amusement of my daughters who are trying to teach me as much as tyhey can without pulling their hair out.

Sketch Saturday Challenge!

Here is my entry for Sketch Saturday. It was this great sketch which was brill to work with. I have used one of my Winnie the Pooh stamps which I coloured in with distress inks yet again and have used some patterened paper behind-some of it mounted onto pink card to try to combat the quite 'loud' paper! I finished it off with a flower in the corner! Thanks for looking!xx

Penny Black Saturday Challenge!

Here is my entry for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This week the challenge was this great sketch and of course you need to include at least one Penny Black image! I chose this image from the new penny black stamps which are very cute! I have coloured it in with distress inks and have used the new Anita Chrstmas papers in the background. I finished it off with a few blue flowers. This is my first time in taking part in the Penny Black challenge and have thoroughly enjoyed it!

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge

Here is my entry for the Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge. I have stamped Tilda and coloured her in with distress inks and then before I have put some backing paper on my ATC I have threaded the wire through the card and attached some green beads to make it a look like a flower stem and to finish it off I have attatched a grren prima flower with a brad to secure it in place.
