So Excited Tonight!

Evening everyone, so excited tonight as my youngest son Daniel is on TV on Friday on the game show The Weakest Link, probably made an ass of himself but its the taking part that matters, all I know is I had to wait to see the programme as he never told me anything. Well I have had the all clear to return to work next week thank goodness, only on a phased return gradually building my hours back up but am so looking forward to it, have missed the team of nurses I work with on the community. However saying that could not craft yesterday as my balance was a bit off and making me a little dizzy so have been busy tonight, making some cards for challenges. Some were quite hard this week as I do not have anyone to send Valentine cards to or make them for, so have adapted them to what I hope will count in the challenges.

My first card this week is for Sketch Saturday, Promarker Challenge which was Love is in the air and also for Cupcake Challenge which was to use pink and red. So I have used this cute image of the little girl blowing heart shaped bubbles. added some flowers, sentiment and this is my take on the sketch too. Promarkers used were: pink carnation, antique pink, carmine, rose pink, meadow green, lime green, berry red, poppy,caramel, tan and blush.

My next card today is for Joanna Sheen Monthly Challenge which was also named Love is in the air and also for House Mouse Challenge which was a love theme and to include more than one heart. So I have used a cute house mouse image of the mammy mouse repairing the teddy bear for the baby mouse, mending it with great love I am sure. I have added some red hearts, used some heart backing paper and also a heart charm and finished off with some flowers.

My last card of the night is for another couple of challenges and that is Allsorts which was free and easy and also Papertake Challenge which was anything goes. So this card is a birthday card for my best friend whose birthday is next week. I have used a Humphrey stamp which is Best Friends and used greens and lilacs to colour it in and kept the theme through the papers and flowers. I have also made up the inside of my card something I don't usually do but thought I would give it a bash, what do you think? I think it looks okay and I hope my friend will love it.

Hi everyone well today I have received my parcel from Joanna Sheen crafts, which is present from my daughter for my birthday. So I have had the new CD which is a cd of digi images can't wait to print some off and use them, they are so cute. I also had a pack of cards and some EZ foam so thank you Arline, I love the CD so glad you told me about it. My brother txt me this afternoon today to say he was on board the cruise ship on his private sun deck, sipping champagne and eating strawberries dipped in chocolate, they had been upgraded last week by the cruise ship to a Presidential Suite free of charge- lucky for them, so everyone near and dear to me is away or going away this weekend, alright for some I am stuck at home and can't afford to go away.

This card is for this months Christmas Crafting as I am a member of the DT. This month we are sponsored by Paper Pretties, so why not enter and have a go you might just win the prize of some digi images from them. I know its January but you can never have enough Christmas Cards and just think you would have at least twelve made ready for this Christmas, after all there's only eleven months to go haha! Keeping Warm Indoors Today!

Good afternoon everyone from the North East of England- its freezing here today, so haven't ventured out-well only as far as the back gate that is to open it for the window cleaner. So my mum has gone off to my brother for three weeks so I am just chilling. After being off work for quite a number of weeks after having an operation I was all ready to get back next week but now have UTI and Conjunctivitis so have now been given the 13th possibly to return to work.So as its Wednesday its craft day for me although I will probably craft tomorrow and the next day too. I have been to my local craft shop this week to stock up and bought some of the Portebello Road Papers from Papermania for a project I am going to attempt but will have to keep that under wraps for now!

Well my first card this week is for Lili of the Valley and it was to make a masculine card. I had just recently purchased this stamp of the little boy playing cricket, so came in very handy for this weeks challenge. Being for a male didn't add too much and especially didn't add flowers, which I usually love to do but I did add a little cotton wool ball for his ball and added a cute little ladybird onto the grass.

My next card today is for Sketch Saturday which is of course their sketch, Lollipop which was anything goes and finally for Secret Crafter which was to add ribbons. So I have used Lili of the Valley image and used yellows and oranges -nice spring colours. I have added some checkered orange ribbon and some plain yellow ribbon.

My final card for today is for Penny Black Challenge which was floral frenzy and Allsorts Challenge which was one or more hearts. So I have used this cute image of the little hedgehogs in the flower pots. I have added some pink flowers and some hearts purchased at my local craft shop and added a PB sentiment too. On the corners I have added some pink pearls. Its quite a girly card being pink but i love pinks on cards.

A Good Sort out

Well I know you are going to think I am crazy but Friday I spent the day sorting my box of flower embellishments into colours and then bagging them into little plastic bags- as every time I wanted a flower out of the box they fell all over the place and its driving me bonkers. So now I have sorted them the next thing on my list today is my ribbon box I think I may be pulling my hair out by the end of that little job! As I said earlier in the week my brother has been this weekend and he has taken my mum back to Sussex with him-so three weeks of not running here there and every where. He is 50 next weekend and is off on a Mediterranean Cruise, so we had him a birthday cake made in our football team colours as a surprise, which was made by a lady at o little local cup cake shop. Her cakes are yummy and also purchased a couple of her cupcakes and have put pics on to let you all have a look at them. I am looking forward to being able to do my own thing for a few weeks- so tomorrow I am off to the local craft shop to stock up. I was going to do that today but felt bit dizzy and had splitting headache so wasn't really in good mood for shopping, even if it was for me. So will be back later in the week with some cards. Another Crafty Wednesday!

Afternoon all. Well so far so good I decided at the start of the year to make Wednesday my craft day and so far I have stuck to it, although don't know if I will be still keeping up with it when I go back to work in the next couple of weeks, but if I am not to shattered I will. I hope everyone has had a good week and lovely weekend and my word another one is nearly upon us. My brother is coming this weekend from Sussex as it is his 50th next weekend and he is supposed to be taking my mum and dad down to look after their pets, as his family have booked a cruise for him. However I cannot see that happening now- as my mum has severe arthritis in her knee, so much so that she now cannot walk on it and we have been back and forward to GP in the past seven days, only for him to tell her the same thing that there is nothing other than pain killers to take for it but she doesn't seem to be taking this in. So although I have found the last few weeks with her very stressful and was really looking forward to having a break by her going to my brothers I do not think that will happen now, oh well onwards and upwards as these things are sent to try us. Its a good job I have my crafting otherwise I would go insane!

Well after my rant its back to this weeks challenges and my first card this week is for two challenges Sketch Saturday so I have used their sketch and Secret Crafter Challenge and their theme this week was food and drink. So my image is a cute Humphrey one of two little elephants enjoying a ice cream sundae together. I have used a turquoise as my main colour them and made it into a Thank You card for a change.

This next card is for Cupcake Challenge and that was All you need is Love. So I found this image from Hanglar Stanglar of this young lady with my fave flower, a Carnation. I have again used blue as my theme but a different shade from my last card. Kept it quite simple with a bow, sentiment and some bling, hope you like it?

My next card is for I Love Promarkers Challenge and their theme this week was pinks and purples, two of my fave colours to use on a card. This is also for Allsorts Challenge which was needles and pins. So once again I have used a Hanglar Stanglar image of a little girl with her knitting basket, complete with knitting needles, wool and scissors. Added a sentiment, some lace and a few flowers. The colours I used were: blush, dusty pink, blossom, antique pink, cerise, pink carnation, baby pink, lilac, amethyst, bluebell, orchid, sandstone and caramel.

Finally my last card for now is my fave this week and it is for Lollipop Challenge and that was Wings on it. So here I have used yet another cute Hanglar Stanglar image and I have used black red and white for my theme on this card. Added some flowers, a sentiment and some pearls. I hope you like it.

Well that is all for now folks as I have run out of double sided tape, Pinflair Glue and Flowersoft glue this week so can't do anymore crafting until I have popped to craft shop tomorrow to stock up. Got My Mo-Jo Back!

Well today I have been busy doing some crafting for some challenges and thought I would share them with you, think my mo jo has come back today. Its been a horrible cold wet day here today so ideal for staying in the warm and crafting.So here is my first card and its for Lollipop Challenge which I found hard as it was no embellishments, and we all like to add something don't we-to our lovely creations. I also want to enter it into Promarkers Challenge which was anything goes. The images I have used were from a set of stamps I received for Christmas from DD and they are supposed to be Darcy and Miss Bennet, and as I am a great Pride and Prejudice fan, these were very appropriate for me.The colours I have used were blush, moss green, pear green,cool aqua,powder blue,denim blue and ice grey 1&2.

My next card is for Lili of the Valley and that was to use lavender and lace. So here is a lovely image of two friends having coffee. I have added some lovely purple lace which I also got in a bag of lace that DD picked up at her local haberdashery shop, added some small roses and a sentiment.

This card is for Winter Wonderland Challenge and that was to make an easel card this week. So I have used one of my new Little Claire stamps that I bought before Christmas and hadn't had chance to use them. So I have used pinks and blues on this card. Once again I have revived some old stuff , these flowers are from one of the first bottles I bought a few years back.

And now for my final card and probably most challenging for this week and that was for House Mouse Monday Challenge and it was to use black and white. So I used lots of different greys, a bit of black and a little blush for their skin. I have used the thimble stamp to make my backing paper, added some black buttons, a black sentiment and a little black and white bow.

Although if the weather forecast is correct I should think most of us will be stopping in with the heating on and just chilling. Mo Jo Has Taken A Day Off Today Me Thinks!!

Hi everyone this is the full amount of my craft day today, not feeling too good today and think that is why everything went wrong from the start of this card to the end. First my paper went on cockeyed, then the ribbon wouldn't stick and then I ripped the base card as I was putting it onto my card so had to start all over again. And then when I started the second card I ran out of double sided tape grrr! So needless to say I have only made the one card today and here it is, not too happy with it either. So I would like to enter this for Lili of the Valley Challenge which is your fave stamp and she is so cute with her little teddy. Next Sketch Saturday, then Saturday Challenge which was to use mainly blue on your card and finally for Papertake Weekly Challenge which was to use buttons, bling, bows and blooms.

Some New Cards from Old Bits and Bobs

So yesterday I was having a bit of a sort out of my craft stash and found one of those litlle decoupage books with tiny pictures in to cut out and I also found some tiny wee cards, so I had a play around with some of them and made some little Thank You cards for my Christmas and Birthday pressies to send off to people. The papers and card I have used comes from my stash box, you know the one, we crafters all have one and I dont know about anyone else but I always forget about it! But this time it came in very useful for tiny bits of paper etc. So here they are, hope you like them. I made six in total and the theme was a cute little rabbit and I tried to make them bright and cheery. What do you think?

First Challenges of 2012!

Well I have had a busy weekend-taking youngest daughter back to Uni in Lincoln I think my poor little car breathed a sigh of relief when we unloaded at her end, to say it was much lighter coming back is a understatement, it glided home up the A1. Although we had to say goodbye for another long stint as at Easter she is off to Salu in Spain with the Uni football team of which she is a team member, and doubt if she will be home over those holidays. Just having got over Christmas and today is my birthday hurrah! agh! Don't know why I am celebrating it will be a very quiet day, past the age of caring now as my elder son says its only a number, it may be only a number to him but his number is twenty years younger than mine, so he can be flip and say that! Well back to business and I have sat today and made some cards for a few challenges so here's my first card and its for two challenges Papertake Challenge which is to use a die cut on your card and Promarkers Challenge which was to use a cuddly image on your card, so as you can see I have used the cutest bear in the world Winnie the Pooh and to colour him I have used Poppy, Ruby, Gold and Tulip Yellow.

My next card is for Winter Wonderland and that was to feature shopping, shopping bags or a shop, so this is my take on it, the stamp I bought in a set one year at the NEC so have no idea whose make they are, but she looks a bit like nan out doing her Christmas shopping!

Next card is for Saturday Challenge and this was titled Eat Cake, so I have used a Lili of the Valley image of a little girl dressed up with her mums shoes on too, and she is having afternoon tea with cupcakes yum!

This card is my first one for Joanna Sheen Challenge and it is Celebrate something and this card is a new baby card and I have used this cute baby image and used Promarkers to colour it. This stamp was on one of the first sets I ever received and they were Joanna Sheen's baby images, so cute I have not used them for ages- I have used lemon colours so the card can be used for either sex and added some buttons shaped like hands but kept it quite simple really.

Last but one and this is for Cupcake Challenge and Lollipop Challenge which were New and use any new items received at Christmas. My card is for a New Home and I have made the picture into a lookalike picture frame. The new items I have used are the coloured base card which is from a 6x6 pack I received and the sentiment which was also new at Christmas. Hope you like my take on this theme.

And finally to my last card and my favourite I think so far. This is two challenges House Mouse Challenge which was again New Goodies, Hobby, Baby etc. So I have used a new stamp from House Mouse(which I bought at the NEC) and I have used my new card pack and my new flowers which I received at Christmas,and this is my first attempt at shading the House Mice. I have been reluctant to buy them but as I said in an earlier blog post due to the colouring of them but once I had watched the preview of how to colour them I have become addicted and can't stop stamping them and colouring them! I am also entering this card as a second entry to Joanna Sheen's Challenge for Celebrations, it is a dear friends birthday next week and she has had a rough year also, having to put her son into psychiatric care full time, so I hope this will cheer her up and help her have a as nice a day as she can have.

Happy New Year to One and All

Happy New Year to everyone out there in blog land, its been a few weeks since I have updated my blog-well since before Christmas. Hope everyone had a good one and got lots of nice things and lots of crafting goodies. When I was at the NEC in November I purchased a few sets of House Mouse stamps, a bit warily as I wasn't sure how to colour them with my Promarkers, but I have been watching Joanna Sheen on You Tube as to how to do it and so over the last couple of days I have become obsessed with stamping and colouring them and have really enjoyed doing them. I will put some samples on later in the week, but I am very pleased at how my first attempts have come out. And so to my first card of this year and its a Christmas card for my daughters challenge blog called Christmas Crafting and this month we are being sponsered by Whimsey Stamps and they have given us five digi stamps free for our winner, so why not join us and give it a try, you never know you may win and as they say You have to be in it to Win it! Our challenge for January was to make an easel card so here is mine hope you like it . I have used a cute nativity scene from Lili of the Valley toppers and kept gold as my main colour. Stash from NEC and some famous faces!

Well everyone here is my little stash which I bought at the NEC last weekend, well not so little really but I only get there once a year and save to go so always get some good bargains. My first bargain was the velvet ribbon which was only 1.00 for 3metres from the Macmillan Cancer stall. On Joanna Sheen's stall you could mix and match House Mouse stamps and decoupage 4 items for £30 and the Memento Ink Pads only £3.50 what bargains! I also bought some LOTV stamps and images. On Crafters Companion some SWALK stamps and Humphrey fell in my basket and also some of their lovely printable papers. Another stall had 25 12x12 paper for £5.00 that stall was like a free for all. Some other bits and pieces on that pile too. We had a lovely day but it was packed as usual and no where to sit as usual to have lunch, only the floor. We also went to the cake show the day before and what amazing cakes people had made. So I am back home now and just feel shattered! My boys had done a sterling job decorating most of my lounge while I was away for the weekend but I am now trying to get that back together, so will have to wait a while to play with my stash

Well Packing Ready for NEC bring it on!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning blog friends out there, today I am finishing off getting things packed to go and spend weekend with my daughter and our friends at the NEC in Birmingham. Can't stand crowds really get a bit claustrophobic so now we tend to go on a Sunday when it is a tad less busy and I mean that
literally but this year we are also doing the Cake Show on Saturday - as my daughter in to sugar crafting this year and wants to go there too. I will not be buying much this year due to the lack of funds but I will share with you next week when I am back what bargains I have bought. Its a shame my youngest daughter is not coming with us as she usually goes off on her own and then when we meet up for a coffee she tells us where all the bargains are and with her being a student she is always on very tight budget but its amazing what she can get for twenty pounds! Anyway thanks for the kind wishes about my mum who is still in hospital this morning and hopefully she is to be discharged this afternoon , she unfortunately will not be travelling with me to her sisters in Nottingham tomorrow and they were both looking forward to seeing each other as they are both getting on in age and its the only chance my mum gets to go there when I can take her and her sister is housebound. A Bit of A Saucy Card and a Clutterbug!

Well yesterday evening my washer started sparking blue flashing lights whilst spinning off- so now no working washing machine, just typical when I am getting ready to go away for five days! Then things got worse when I was woken this morning at 8am mobile was ringing, and it was a phone call to say my mum had been admitted to hospital during the night. Come on people give me a break everything starting to wear me down now. Anyway enough of me moaning on- here are a couple of cards I have made for a couple of family birthdays coming up at Christmas -one for my cousin whose birthday is Christmas Eve and the other one for his mum whose birthday is Christmas Day. My Aunts card is a fun one and I know she will take it in the fun sense that it is meant to be. Christmas Crafting Challenge Card

Hi everyone, well had a busy day today took my mum to hospital, whilst still not feeling 100% myself, so came home to do my card for Christmas Crafting as I am a design team member, and it should have been done by now- that should be okay you may think but could not get printer to work to get my image and then had problems trying to upload creation onto pc, the latter I think due to younger son keep borrowing my laptop and messing with how I have it set up. Anyway here is my creation and it was to do with the Twelve Days of Christmas and the image is this month from Robyns Fetish who are sponsers for Novembers Challenge. So I have used golds, reds and greens as this is how I had viewed it in my mind but you know when I had finished wasn't really happy with it, you will know we all have days like that when we are crafting but hey ho it is done now. At Last Some Challenge Cards!

Well last night I sat and decoupaged, coloured in stamped images and finally made some cards for challenges. I have to say I have been diagnosed with Tennis Elbow this week and have found cutting out very difficult this weekend, feel like a old croc I need putting down- even after having a nice hot bath didn't relieve pain in elbow ouch. So without further chuntering on about my aches and pains- here are my cards. This is my first card this weekend and its for PapertakeWeekly which is the my take on their skertch and for the monthly challenge over at Bunny Zoe Crafts which was to add lace. This Hanglar and Stanglar image is so cute, and you will see further on I have used the girl image of the same vain. Hope you like it.

This is my card for Cute Card Thursday which again was another sketch so here is my take on it and I have used some nice bright colours to cheer us all up in these dark cold nights.

This is my second card and its for Lili of the Valley and once again it was a sketch so I have made another Christmas Card with the image of their little Santa, and used Pro markers to colour him in and this is my take on their sketch.

So here is my last card that I have made for challenges this weekend and again its for two challenges first for Allsorts which was an easel card and also for Just Magnolia which was to make a Christmas Card using one of their images or a Hanglar and Stanglar. Feel I Need to Do Some Crafting

Hi everyone well its been a while since I updated my blog, still haven't got back into routine of crafting after being to work and I have found the whole experience this time going back to work very stressful, so much so- that now I have got the flu and was sent home ill on Thursday and told not to go back until after my hols which is now going to be near the end of November. I feel really rough and want to get better, as from Thursday next week I am having few days away. Hopefully Thursday I will be popping down to Lincoln to see younger daughter and drop some supplies she has asked for, then mid afternoon on to Nottingham to call in on elderly housebound aunt and leaving my mum and dad there for few days. Then Friday morning I shall be up early to go to Walsall to see good friend whose grand-daughter is rather poorly with leukemia and then after lunch on to Stoke on Trent to spend weekend at eldest daughters and we shall be doing Cake Show NEC Saturday and then to hotel to be back to NEC on Sunday for Craft Show, so I must be well by then! Then when I get home hopefully my two sons will have decorated my lounge for me and then the following week am off to Scarborough for few days with my mum for her birthday treat. I am going to try and do some cards this weekend but will see how I feel. Kate and Sue have some lovely blog candy up for grabs just click on the link on my side bar. Busy two weeks and blog goes to pot.

Hi everyone thought I had better post something on my blog as you all may think I have deserted it! I have had a very busy couple of weeks. 17th of September saw my elder son and I taking younger daughter Lindsay back to Lincoln to start 2nd year of Law at University, then we dashed over to Stoke on Trent to pick some furniture up at my other daughters Arline, so we had a day and half on that Saturday. 19th saw me return to work after 14 weeks off sick due to operation on neck/face and have never stopped since. Considering my occupational health dept said I could only go back on the understanding that I went out to visit patients when I felt ready, they may have been speaking a foreign language, only back five days and had to do calls Mon/Tues and today and when I told the Matron this morning that neck was really sore off driving I was told well it is going to hurt sometimes, so what can you do, just get on with it. I would much rather be out visiting than sitting in the office doing all the crappy jobs they can find for you to do but they have ignored what we were told as regards me going back to work, so hey ho. On a more positive note had a really good appraisal from my team lead which made me feel lot better having just returned from sickness. Well onwards and upwards am going to do some Xmas shopping tomorrow, some of you will be thinking is she crazy but this year my daughter and son in law are with his family for Xmas and they will be coming up in October so have to have their pressies ready for then. Hopefully will be able to craft all day on Saturday and do some blog hopping on Sunday. Thanks for dropping by. Arlinex

Lincoln Bound This Weekend

Hi everyone so sorry I haven't had chance to blog hop this week have had a busy week and its only Wednesday. I have been trying to get youngest daughter sorted out ready to go back to university this weekend after 14 weeks at home, not easy I can tell you. So Monday I had to go to Occupational Health to get the all clear to back to work next Monday after 12 weeks due to surgery on neck/face, so that sorted and given green light. Tuesday it was shopping trip for bedding, crockery etc for daughters new house in Lincoln she will be sharing with four other girls. Now just keep having to tell her to get boxes packed ready for Saturday morning as it will be a long day for myself and her elder brother as once we have dropped her off in Lincoln it is over to Stoke on Trent, to pick up bed from my other daughter for her younger brother phew shattered just thinking about it and I won't even be driving. Will try to get back to some routine Sunday or Monday. Arlinex

Good Morning More Challenges

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog, I have a crafting weekend and caught up with all challenges this week after being unable to do any at the start of the week. So here is my first card and its for a couple of Challenges and they are Penny Black Challenge and it was delicious on your card and also the sketch I have used is for Sketch Saturday. I seem to have been in a pink mood this weekend and have used lots of pinks here. My image is cute one from Penny Black of the little mice eating their tiny birthday cake. I have added some ribbons, flowers and candi dots to show my take on this sketch.

Next is my card for Just Magnolia and this week was the sketch I have used. So I have used mainly pink as my theme and used this cute image from Hanglar and Stanglar. I have added some lace and braiding, a couple of gingham bows and a sentiment. I think this is one of my faves this week.

Another challenge and this is for a couple of challenges and they are Allsorts which was flowers and swirls and Totally Papercraft which was cute with buttons. So here I have used a cute image from the Humphrey range and used lovely bright summery colours yellow's,greens, orange's etc. The swirls are pale green and sorry but you can hardly see them due to the flash on the camera but they are there. I have added a sentiment some orange roses and some lovely green buttons.

This is my last card today and its for the last ever Spoonful of Sugar Challenge and that was to make a card with the theme of party. So I have used this cute Humphrey image of them all doing the Conga at their party. The backing paper is Papermania with lots of lovely balloons on it, added a sentiment, some candi dots and finished it off with some matching flowers. Well Here are My First lot for Blog Challenges.

My first card today is for two challenges and they are Charisma Cardz and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and they both were to make a card inspired by a song, so here is mine and its A Spoonful Of Sugar Makes the Medicine Goes Down from Mary Poppins and of course I have made it into a get well card. I have used masily pinks nad browns for this one. The image is Sarah Kay with her little friend.

Here is my card for another couple of challenges Cupcake Challenge which was to have patchwork some where on your card and also Dutch Dare Challenge and theirs was a recipe of 1 ribbon, 2 images, 3 patterened papers and four embellishments either 4 the same or 4 types. So my image of the lady doing her patchwork quilt is a High Hopes stamp and I stamped a little cat image to sit on the bottom of the quilt. I have used three papers picking up the colours from the quilt and added four star brads as the embellishment part of the recipe. Hope you like my take on these challenges.

This card is for a three challenges and they are I Love Promarkers, which was to use a metal charm or embellishments, Winter Wonderland which was to feature Santa Claus on your card and Christmas Challenge with sketches.So I have used this stamp of Santa checking his naughty or nice list and used the sketch to create the layout. I have added some metal charm snowflakes to the two corners of my card. The colours I have used were Ice Grey 1 and 2, Warm Grey 1, Slate, Mango, Vanilla, Sandstone, Tan, Forest Green and Poppy.

This is my card for Papertake Weekly Challenge which was anything goes and this is my card. I have used this image which I won from a previous challenge and he is from Stamping Dragon Designs and he is so cute with his box of popcorn. I have used red card for my base and some red striped paper. I have added some red candi dots, a sentiment and a red ribbon. ATC'S For Christmas Challenge Blog

Well everyone haven't been able to much crafting this week due to gas men being in doing new central heating system and not being able to get stuff out and as usual they left a mess behind them. They scratched my new PVC front door which has only been on three weeks and they broke the cupboard door off the hinge where the new boiler has gone so we had to remove the door as they had also broken the surround for the door, I was not impressed, so had to have the gaffer back yesterday to sort out what they are going to do about it. So have been busy last couple of days catching up on things blog wise. Here is my first batch of crafting this weekend and its for the new blog Christmas Crafting and its some ATC's for the swap they are doing as well as the card challenges, why not have a go they are fun to make but rather addictive once you start. Now Printer not Printing

Evening, well kids both out, great I thought will do some crafting, but first thought I would treat myself to a few new digi stamps after receiving some money I was not expecting. So shopping done tried to upload to my PC and that's where the trouble started even though my daughter's had written down what to do couldn't get them to download. From that last remark, you will now have guessed I am not PC literate, even though my lovely kids bought me a laptop last Christmas. I think the thing is I am frightened of what I may do if I press something wrong and lose everything. So after two hours of messing around on it managed to download them, hurrah I thought, but no my PC had a mind of its own and decided the printer wouldn't work, so after another 90 mins of trying to get that to work I have given up for the night. So instead of crafting and looking forward to using my new digi images I have spent the entire evening trying to sort out piece of equipment I do not understand and quite frankly feel like throwing out of the window at this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone well have had to keep this news under wraps until today. I know many of you may think this is favouritism but I have been picked as a DT member for my elder daughters new blog but I can assure you it is not I had to submit my interest like everyone else! So was quite surprised that I actually got picked? Her new blog which is a monthly challenge blog is called Christmas Crafting as she is mad on Christmas and I feel that is my fault really because I too am mad on Christmas and ever since my kids were little my house has always looked like Santa's Grotto and they may be all grown up now but I still have it the same every year, much to my elder sons annoyance when he has to come around every year and put up 100 icicle lights(he keeps praying secretly that they will not be working every time but I keep telling him I can probably find replacements on Ebay hehe) So I have published my first cards I have made for the challenge on here today but if you click on the link on my side bar it will take you to her new blog so go over, have a look and maybe you would like to have a go this month,as there is a great prize to start her off this month and its from Sassy Studios who also gave us these digi images for our first challenge which was very kind of the DT there. End of an Era and Tears!

Well today my youngest daughter took me to the cinema, as her treat to see the last Harry Potter installment and what a film. There was only about 10 people in there and I am so glad as it wasn't long before the tears came. I have gone to see every one of these films since they were released and have queued at midnight in various places on the release dates for the books with my youngest daughter Lindsay so an end of an era for her. If you have seen the films you will all know Alan Rickman has played the baddie Snape and I have loved his character all the time, so couldn't believe he could be all bad and today it was uncovered that he was not the baddie everyone thought he was and so when he died and finally we discovered why he had done all the bad things I shed a few tears for Snape. And then at the end of the film when you see various favourite characters have been killed that too brought tears but for Lindsay it was the end of the film that made her cry as she said she has grown up with Harry, Ron and Hermione and they are now no more, a sad day for her and I am sure millions like her. So we came home had lunch and decided we needed cheering up so decided to do some cards although I have to say not very pleased with couple of mine but hey ho that's how it goes. I am sure J.K.Rowling had days when she didn't like what she had written about Harry and co. Will be blogging next couple of days as Lindsay is off to see her new home she is renting in Lincoln, when she returns to University later this month

This is my first card today and its for Winter Wonderland challenge and their theme this week was Trim a Tree either a tree trimmed or being trimmed. So my image is a Kars stamp and used Pro-markers to colour it it and added jewels where the lights are stringed around the tree. I have pinched some lovely bright crimbo papers from my youngest daughters stash, with her permission of course. I have added some glittered ribbon and some bright flowers and a sentiment.

My second card is for the Penny Black Challenge and this week is was a sketch and also Pro Marker Challenge which is Anything Goes and this is my take on it. So here I have used silver mirri board as my base then used some contrasting papers to do the sketch. I have used Pro-markers to colour my image in and they were Poppy, Ice Grey 1 and 2, Green, Forest Green, Mango and Blue Pearl and added my image to a die cut. I have added some Merry Christmas ribbon, some blue and red flowers and to the centre of them added some gem stars. Added a sentiment, a ribbon bow and on the corners snowmen gems.

My third card today is for two challenges Sketch Saturday and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which was in the sea, so here is Magnolia as a mermaid.I have used some pretty sea themed paper as my base bought this ages ago and have never used it and I remembered all about it today. Then I have added some flowers candi dots and sentiment to complete the sketch.

Here is my last card for today and it is Papertake weekly challenge and it was the sketch I have used to make the card. I have used a Molly Bloom image for this card and used blues and browns as my theme. And continued it through with the colour theme in my flowers and ribbon. Typical Bank Holiday Weekend-Cold Wet and Windy

Welcome everyone to my blog today, well thought I might have a run out in the car either up the coast or up around Durham and Tees dale but as usual for Bank Holiday weekend the heavens have opened and its pouring down. So I have done housework, prepared meal to go in the oven ready for younger daughter getting out of bed later this afternoon and decided to make a start on some challenges. I am also really excited to have been chosen to be a DT member for a new blog called Christmas Crafting, I know my daughter is running it but I am still chuffed to have been chosen as there was quite a few peeps applied. This is my first card today for a challenge I have never entered before and that is Christmas Challenges with Sketches, so using their sketch this is the card I have created. I have used a Chester the Monkey image from Pollycraft eating his Christmas pud. The papers I have used on this card were free on one of this months craft mags and they are lovely, the sentiment also is from the same paper pack. For a change I have used my Copic markers to colour him in and added some small brown buttons to the top to complete the sketch.

This is my card today for Cute Card Thursday which is the sketch, Pollycraft challenge which was to use Autumn colours reds browns,oranges and then finally for Lollipop challenge which was to make a masculine card. So I have used a Pollycraft image and used my Copic Markers to colour it in using brown coloured papers, added a sentiment and some nice bright orange buttons to the top.

This is my first card for this post and its another new challenge for me this week, its a monthly challenge and its called Crazy Christmas Challenge and their theme was anything goes. So I have made this huge 8x8 card and used a House Mouse Christmas decoupage for this one and they are making Christmad cookies! So I found some cookie paper when I was out last week, with this image in mind and used this as my base. Then picking up the green colour from the image and the paper matted my image onto green card. Before I have stuck this down I have added two organza ribbons and put a bow on the top at the side, then added a Christmas sentiment. Then what card would be without some lovely flowers on to complete it. I had some one very special in mind when I made this card and hop they will like it.

Now for a real challenge this is my card for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and that was to create a scene so sticking with Christmas this is what I have came up with. First I have layered silver baord on the base of my card and then cut some starry night paper down and added that for my sky, then added Flower Soft to the bottom as snow. Then I have used some of The Snowman images and coloured them with Pro-markers and added them to the base and the sky. Next I had some die cut lamp posts in my stash and I cut some yellow paper out to add to the back of the lamp to look like the glow of the light and added some more Flower Soft to the top of the lamp post. Then added a sentiment to finish it off. It took a while but hope you like my effort.

This is my card for a two challenges this week Totally Papercraft which was Christmas in August and Christmas Stamping All Year and their theme was no traditional colours, so I haven't used any and gone for pinks and purples. I forgot about this stamp and sentiment stashed away in my stamp box. I think its a High Hopes stamp, I have had it for quite a while now so can't be sure. So its two little angels having a pillow fight and I just love the sentiment, "Snowflakes fall when angels are having pillow fights", love it. I have to thank my youngest daughter for the pink crimbo paper she gave me for the base of my card. I have twisted some tinsel like ribbon in both the colours and added it to the side, then I have taken the two main colours once again and punched snowflakes out of Bazzil card and added some jewel gems to them. I am really pleased at how this card has turned out, hope you like it too.

Here is my card this week for Just Magnolia Challenge which was to use a fun sentiment. So I have used a Hanglar Stanglar image of a cute little boy with his toy truck and added my fun sentiment, which applies to most little cute boys! Using blues as my main colour combo, kept it quite simple and just added some candi dots to finish it off.

Okay peeps so I totally screwed up in my original entry to the Lili Of the Valley Challenge which was to create a thank you card using one of their images and silly me did not use an image, so here is my second attempt at the challenge, good job it was open until end of August due to holidays. So I have used this cute image of one of their little teddy bears, holding his flower and his card, used Pro-markers to colour him in. Added some nice bright flowers, candi dots for the centres and thank you sentiment and to finish it off added some false stitching.

Gosh how late am I with this post haven't felt much like crafting the last couple of days and now have got a rush on! So this is my card for I Love Pro-Markers and it was to do an easel card, so here it is just in time for 8pm deadline. I have used a Humphrey stamped image and coloured her using Pro-markers Apple, Meadow Green, Baby Pink, Rose Pink, Yellow and Warm Grey no1. I have also used two die cut shapes on my card so would also like to enter my card for Sassy Studio Challenge which was to use two die cuts, Papertake Challenge which was to use dies too. Used a birthday sentiment on the card, some pink flowers, candi dots in the centre of those and to finish it off threaded some pink organza ribbon through the die shape. Paramedics, Sky Man and now Top 3 Winner this Sunday Morning!

What an eventful Sunday morning and all before 11am. I had arranged for Sky to call today and change my box to plus box so was told he would be here between 8am and 1pm so alarm duly set for 7.30am. Only my mobile phone went off at 6.45 to step-dad saying he needed me to get to their flat asap as my mum was having a nose bleed and they couldn't get it too stop. So quick wash dressed and out before 7.05 rang 999 soon as I got there as mum still bleeding. Paramedic arrived did basic checks BP and vital signs all good, then ambulance arrives. Mum then asked if it was alright if she could go to bathroom, so off she goes and after ten minutes of waiting for her to return, she comes back washed and nightwear changed? I said what have you been doing they are waiting to see to you and the classic remark back was well" I couldn't go down to hospital in blood stained nightie and blood all over me could I, what would they think"?????????? I don't know why the elderly think they have to look their best to go to hospital. After all that the paramedic decided as bleeding had now stopped they wouldn't be now taking her to hospital! So they left and I followed now 8.05am, gets home to Sky man just leaving been gone and installed new box. And finally have just found out have won top three card in this weeks Winter Wonderland Challenge wow. Well think after all that need a lie down and then maybe a bit of crafting this afternoon, don't think I can take any more stress this morning! Hugs Arlinex

All on my ownsome and Bread Mouldy!!!!!!!!

This is my first card this afternoon and its for Sketch Saturday. Again another lovely sketch to use for the card. I have used a LOTV image of the two girls having tea using Pro-markers to colour them in. My base is some gingham paper and then using stripes to co-ordinate. Added some candi dots, a sentiment, some flowers and some blue lace along the top.

Now for a change of tack Allsorts Challenge this week was anything but a card so I have gone mad and made three ATC's used to make lots of these and haven't made them for a while now. So I used some old papers and cut the images out of the paper and decoupaged them and added some lettering from the same papers. I have really enjoyed making these for a change.

This is my next card this week and its for Just Magnolia which was the Holidays so I have done another Christmas card and also for Cupcake Craft challenge which was the sketch I have used and I think it was a nice sketch to use. So here I have used some candy striped paper as my base and then again out of my old paper stash used this Rudolph paper as the complimentary paper. Then I have added my image using Pro-markers to colour her in. Added some candi dots and a sparkly branch(which I purchased at a local craft fair at the weekend they are lush but found the glitter got everywhere) and a couple of flowers to finish it off.

Well here is my final card for today and its a decoupage card from La Pache and I made it into an easel card for a couple of challenges this week. I have used some old stash papers in my box as the base colour, taking it from the colour of the card on the image. I have added a green silk bow onto the front of the easel and some candi dots. The sparkly lights on the trees and the houses I have painstakingly sat and put gem stones on to make it more outstanding, but I can tell you it took me about an hour to do this, but it looks nice when finished. So this card is for Winter Wonderland Challenge which was a Christmas card with lights in it and I would also like to enter it for Bunny Zoe Crafts Monthly Challenge which was to make an easel card. Kitchen Sorted and some challenges too!

Hi everyone haven't posted been blogging for a few days as haven't felt very well in myself, doctor said I am having panic attacks. All I know is they are awful feel like I can't breathe its really scary! So anyway thought today would get up and clean all kitchen cupboards and have a good sort out, managed to pass some stuff I was going to throw out to younger daughter who is going back to University soon and she is moving in to her own rented house so she has had some baking tins, blender etc, better than throwing them into the bin. So have actually finished a few cards off today and have posted them below. Tried to keep them pretty simple this week and what I have done I have enjoyed doing.

This is my first card for today and its for Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which was Xmas is Coming. So I have used this cute Penny Black image of little girl on her swing hanging from the branch of Xmas Tree and I have kept my colour theme to blues mainly. Used blue and silver card to mat and layer and some designer paper with Jingle Bells on, kept it quite simple and just added a sentiment saying Merry Christmas but can't see it very well I am afraid due to the flash on the camera.

This is my card for Cute Card Thursday which was clean and simple, so I have used a stamped image of a village green and used my Pro-markers to colour my image in. I have used some designer paper and mirri board to mat and layer my image. Just added a simple sentiment and little bow to finish it off . Not too fussy and just a nice little note card to send to a friend.

Well this is my card for the Lili of the Valley challenge this week and I have used some old Lili of the Valley papers and decoupage I found in my stash, I know they are old but they make such pretty thank you cards and easy to make too and knew they would come in useful sometime! A Wet and Miserable Day Here Today

Good morning everyone and hope everyone is okay where ever you are this morning. Well after some awful scenes over the last couple of nights here in Britain it looks like things have settled down and we don't see any more disgraceful behaviour on our streets. Yesterday it was a dreadful day here weather wise so I had a day crafting while younger daughter, who is home from University for the summer, spent most of the day in bed, well until 2.30pm at least! I do not know how she sleeps that long and then the amazing thing is about 8pm she says she is tired again, figure that one out? I wonder how on earth she copes when she is away from home and gets to lectures etc. Although I have to add at this point, if she is meeting her friends in town she can be up and ready amazing that. Well that is my little rant for the day, hope everyone has a good day whatever they may be doing and that the weather is better where you are than here as its another wet and miserable day here today.

This is my first card for today and it is for two challenges Winter Wonderland challenge which was white on white and also Crafters Companion which this month is glitter and glitz, and this is my first ever card for the latter challenge. So a plain white card and I have added some sticky backed white glitter paper as my base. Then I have used a doily die cut and used a stamped image of the Snowman which my elder daughter had just purchased so she stamped me some images while she was here. Coloured him in and added a wintry sentiment, around the circle have added some very tiny plain gems and then added four bigger ones around the edge.

This is my second card today and its for two challenges and they are Sketch Saturday which is the sketch and for Spoonful of Sugar which is birthdays. So I have used a Humphrey image which I had from my elder daughter, and earlier in the year we bought the CD and the stamps between us and I had the CD and she had the stamps, so have been dying to use the stamps while she was here on holiday, as she brought them with her to play with. He is such a cute little elephant. So I have used blues and pinks as my main theme, which I got free on some craft magazine a while ago and they are rather pretty. In the middle of my card I have used some blue lace, which I have to thank my elder daughter for. She had gone to Stoke on Monday and picked me up a three bundles of lace and a huge bag of off cuts all for just over a pound bargain in her local haberdashery shop and sent them to me via post and I received them yesterday, just before I started crafting. I have added a sentiment and some candi dots to finish it off.

This card I have made as a Get Well card and this is my card for challenge I Love Pro-markers, which this week was the sketch layout I have used.My image is from Penny Black and I have used colours baby pink, rose pink, pear green, moss, tan and caramel. So I have used some lovely delicate pink spotted papers my main base colour and another pink paper with tiny flowers on it as the other paper. Then I have added some very pale pink lace out of my bag from my daughter, some pink flowers and sentiment. I am sure this card would cheer any one up who was sick, what do you think?

My next card is for two challenges again, Pollycraft Challenge this week was recycle and Cupcake Challenge and that was stitching either real or faux. My recycling is netting from my fruit box and have used it as a backdrop for my card who is the little boy sitting fishing. I have coloured Edwin in this time using my Copic pens. Then I have taken some craft wire and cut out some little fishes in card and added them to the wire and attached to the netting and finished it off with a sentiment. My stitching part is faux around the image.

Well this is my final card today and its for Lollipop Challenge and its theme this week is Monochromatic, so this is my take on this theme using my fave colour purple and another Christmas card. So my image is a digi stamp image from Whoops a Daisy and she has some cute images for sale. So I have used various purple papers which I have been given by my younger daughter out of her stash and coloured her in with Pro-markers, added some purple flowers, candi dots and of course a sentiment in purple, which hasn't picked up very well on the photograph. Being Rather Creative Today For Me

Yesterday was horrid here as it never stopped raining down all day and they have forecast more here today in Sunderland along with thunderstorms and my son and I are taking my eldest daughter half way home today to be picked by her husband, so hope it don't start until we get back home. It has been her last day of her holidays here today and we shall be sad to see her go home as we have enjoyed having her here. Also today we are celebrating youngest daughters 19th birthday so its cards, pressies, cake and candles before everyone departs today, that's if of course she gets up this morning as she was at work until 5.30am!

Here is my first card for today and it is for Penny Black Saturday Challenge and I have been quite creative for this one and its a rocking type of card. So I covered my entire card with some lovely yellow paper with a pale green leaf design. Then I have taken my image of these two cute hedgehogs on their flowerpots, cut it out and have glued it onto a die cut shape with a pale green base. Then I have taken some thin green and white gingham ribbon and threaded it through the die cut shape and fastened it into a bow at the top. To finish it off I have added some small gold roses and some cherry blossom flowers and leaves. I am really pleased at how this card has turned out today must have had a brainstorm at some point this afternoon.

My second card is for two challenges and they are Allsorts Challenge which Main Card Colour Red and Totally Papercraft Challenge which was Holidays. So my card base is red card and then have made it up using various sources of red. I have added red and white lace to the top and bottom, added some red gingham paper then a cute Molly Bloom image of Santa and mat and layered him on some more red paper and added some faux stitching around edge of the image. I have used Pro-markers once again. I have added a die cut under the stamped image, added some red flowers from Prima and the centres are candi dots. To finish it off have added a sentiment and a red snowflake brad. Of course the theme is Christmas Holiday, so another Christmas card made for my stash.

Well here is my final card for today and its for four challenges this week! First it is for Just Magnolia which this week is Anythings Goes with glitter option, Sassy Studios Design which was sentiment on the front of your card, Cute Card Thursday which was No Designer Paper and finally Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which was Black and White. So have taken this cute image of Magnolia and sat her on some steps, coloured her using Pro-markers and added some Stickle Glitter to her wings. I have used no papers just black and white card and a white doily as my base added some white ribbon to the side, some candi stuff to the top corner again white and then finished it off with a cute sentiment. I hope you like my take on this card, as my elder daughter who was crafting with me this afternoon said my image of Magnolia looked like a prisoner!

My eldest daughter and I went shopping just to get a few bits for my younger daughters birthday on Sunday like pressies cake etc. Then had lunch and just relaxed watched bit of telly and then this evening we have been for a walk along the beach, with of course our bag of chips finally, but at seven o'clock this evening it was still too hot. After our chips it was into the amusement arcade to spend a couple of pounds and then home, for younger daughter to get herself ready to go to work at midnight, in a night club, hate her working there but needs must for students, if they want to earn some money, so will be dropping her off and coming back here to go to bed. Lazy Day Today.

Well today my two daughters and I have had a mini crafting session this afternoon as I had to wait until lunch-time to do anything as the gas man was coming about new heating system, so he went and we had a quick snack for lunch then down to it. We will not be having many more, maybe just the one as my eldest daughter is going back home to Stoke on Sunday, to her hubby Steven who is so sweet, and who has probably had a proper man week, playing on his Xbox, PS3 and watching as much Top Gear on TV that he could find and eating things with garlic in! We will probably go out for the last time tomorrow as younger daughter Lindsay is celebrating her 19th birthday on Sunday, so will have to go and buy her a pressie I suppose. Think we may end the day by going down to the beach tomorrow night and walk along the prom with a bag of chips, yummy. Having now said that it will probably pour down. Anyway down to my cards for today.

Here is my first creation from today's craft session and it is a doubler entry for Lili of the Valley Challenge which was roses, so have used this cute little bear image holding out a rose on his balcony sweet and then I am also putting this card in for Chaisma Cardz Challenge which was bingo, where you had to use three items in vertical or horizontal fashion. So I have used as my three items squares, ribbon and flowers in a vertical fashion, the square is a die cut but hope it is allowed. So I have used pinks and greens here picking the colours out of my base paper, added lovely green satin ribbon and a couple of lovely pink and green flowers and added a thank you sentiment .

Here is my card for two challenges which is Lollipop Challenge which was Celebration, so it's a birthday card and also for I Love Pro-markers challenge which was wings. So I have used a Magnolia image because she has wings in this image, I am not to keen on this card, feel it lacks something but don't know what? Started it off well using lovely bright colours then seemed to loss my mojo a bit, could have been due to eldest daughter moaning and groaning in the background with bad stomach! So added some candi dots, ribbon and sentiment and the Pro-markers used were, violet, tulip yellow, cerise, ice grey 1 and 2 spice, caramel, vanilla and royal blue.

Good morning people, well after a lovely day yesterday going out with my daughter and my mum up around Weardale in Durham, views were spectacular but was rather hot. Last night just before going off to bed my front tooth broke off completely- which was crowned, so now it's going to cost me two hundred pounds agh to have either extracting or re crowning. So now will have to try and find the money for that. Today we have to wait for the gas contractor coming to survey my home, as now we are having new combi-boilers and new fires putting in, more expense as lounge will need decorating after that work is done, could do with winning lottery! Think we had better do some crafting today as that surely can't cost us any money sitting at home. All on My Ownsome so Quiet!!!

Well I have dropped my daughters off for their girly night at my sons girlfriends, so all on my own some. So I thought I would make this card for three challenges while I was sitting crafting- Pollycraft Challenge which was the sketch, Christmas Crafting which this month is cute and Chester the monkey is rather cute and for Papertake Weekly Challenge which is anything goes and you can also add metal if you want to but that is optional. So my image is from Pollycraft digi images and I have used Pro-markers to colour him in . Across the middle bar I have used a snowflake brad and threaded some christmas ribbon through, to finish it off. Yep I have used that sparkly stuff again glitter(its everywhere again on the dining room table oops) I have punched snowflakes out of card and glittered them to add a bit of bling and after all that added a sentiment to the top of the card. Well I am off now to watch the gorgeous Colin Firth in a film while I am on my own and drool to my hearts content, with my bar of chocolate yum yum. Thanks for dropping by and reading my blog. Numb Face and Fuzzy Head!

Good morning all, I have woken up this morning feeling a bit under the weather, due to fuzzy head and right hand side of face very numb and sore this morning. Both are obviously due to operation I had on face about four weeks ago, balance is effected too due to it being near the ear area, will need to take some painkillers me thinks, although hate taking any sort of tablets but needs must today. Won't be up to much today anyway as daughters are out tonight and are going to buy their goodies to take with them tonight. Tomorrow we will have busy day as we are taking my mum out with her two grand-daughters, and then in the evening we are having a family night out to go and see the final Harry Potter film, can't wait! Tissues will be needed I think at cinema, end of an era for my younger two who have grown up with the Harry Potter books, and I can remember waiting at midnight with them at local stores when the next book was being released!!!!!!!! Well that's enough talk about what I am up to below is yet another card I have made for another challenge.

This is another card I have made over last couple of days and its for Dutch Dare Challenge which is birthday fun, so my little decoupaged image is of cute little girl having fun at the beach on her birthday. I have tried to make the card like a beach scene using yellow card for the beach, blue for the sky and cut some curly white shapes for clouds and added a sentiment. Can't Sleep Too Muggy!!!

Well as I can't get to sleep tonight due to being to hot and the weather here being too muggy, I have decided to update my blog, at some stupid o'clock. I can't open big windows in the bedroom as we live near a Sainsburys store which they are busy extending and most of the work seems to be getting done during the night, hence the noise.

This is my fave card of this little craft session, which I have had by myself tonight and its a digi image of a cool granny doing her exercise regime! and she is from Pollycraft and as its in monochrome its my card for this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. The image is so fun and it can be sent to so many ladies for a tongue in the cheek card. So I have used mainly black, grey and white. I coloured her in, cut her out and then stuck her onto a die cut. Matt and layered using some black and white papers, added a large spotty organza bow and some white flowers and black buttons. I have just noticed her shorts look dark purple but it was a dark grey I used. Hope you like her as much as I do.

My next card is for Just Magnolia Challenge, which was to use buttons, blooms and bows. So I have used a Hanglar Stanglar image which is her getting ready to plant her blooms! So for this card I have used nice bright summery colours, keeping mainly to yellows and purples, adding buttons for the centre of the flowers and a nice spotty ribbon to finish it off.

Here is my card for this weeks Winter Wonderland Challenge which was fairies and angels. So the image is a Lili of the Valley image and I have tried to keep mainly to Christmas colours using my Pro-marker pens.Mainly using reds and greens as my colour combo I have used some Christmas paper as the base and used this lovely die cut for my image, getting the lacy circle, which was separate from the circle to stick down was a bit tricky, as I did not want to be able to see the sticky, so had to use some Flowersoft glue, which seemed to work. I don't use glitter much as I get it everywhere but used it on her wings and the centres of her flowers to give it a bit of bling. I have added some green jewel gems to the lacy part, added a sentiment and finished it off with some candi dots.

Out and About Today

Well today we have been out and about, not doing much really but spending money, how did that happen? Had to nip into city to go to bank, TJ Hughes department store is closing down so picked up a small suitcase for when I happen to go away for weekends, as my youngest daughter seems to have snaffled the one I had for uni! and a few other bits and bobs for xmas once again. Then went to model shop with my elder daughter and her hubby is in to Marvel Characters so they had some of those models in the sale so got him a couple of those, also for christmas. After that we had to go to Argos and pick up order and then onto shoe warehouse where younger daughter bought pair of lovely shoes I would need step-ladders to get into and she can walk in them okay, mine however were more sedate sandal type with elastic haha. Then as we were passing, we popped into local craft warehouse, where else would we end up! Bought a lovely stamp from Cherry Cupcake so cute and a cuople more new colours for my Promarker stash , as you can never have enough, can you girls and besides you always want the colour you never have right? By this time we were starving so off to the pub for our lunch and a delicious carvery was had by all. So tomorrow its craft day and then my two daughters are going off to my sons new girlfriends house for a girly night and some drinks, I haven't been asked abviously too old now. Posting at a More Relaxed State

Hi everyone and here is my first card today at a more leisurely pace than my last post. Its my card for this weeks Penny Black Challenge which was to use one of their stamps or images to make the background for your card. So my image is from the pack of stamps called Jolly Follies and the background I have stamped the sentiment from that set all over the base card which was pale green. I have added my image and have added some Flowersoft where the snow should be, added a sentiment and also a couple of flowers with little button as the centre.

This cute card is a double entry firstly for Charisma Cardz whose theme this week was 4 legged friends so hope my cute monkey will qualify eating his xmas pud. The image I have used is from some digi stamps I have purchased this week from Pollycrafts check them out if you haven't already. They have some cute images and this was my first go at purchasing them and now my daughter has showed me what to do I shall be doing it again. I have coloured him in using Pro-markers and have used Flowersoft as the sauce on the pudding, this little monkey is called Chester and he is way too cute. The sketch is the challenge this week from Sketch Saturday and hope if you drop buy you like this cute little chimp.

This is my card this week for four challenges! Lili of the Valley which was the sketch I have used and one of their images.Totally Papercraft which was to bling it up, and Allsorts Challenge which was free and easy July. So my card has a lovely image of a cute little boy giving his friend a bunch of flowers, so cute, The bling part of my challenge is the lovely card I have laid out the sketch on, which is all glittery but you can't see it very well on my photo sorry. It was from a new pack of papers, which my daughter bought the other day and its lush by First Edition Papers, think I may have to put some of those on my crimbo wish list! I added some ribbon, sentiment and some lovely flowers. The pink pearly ones are from Anitas Crafts and they were a special buy when we were out the other day craft shopping. This card is one of my favourites so far this week.

Hi everyone this is a very quick post to try and get my card entered into the Pollycraft Challenge this week. Also this is my card for Cute Card Thursday which is the sketch and Sassy Studio Design which was Xmas in July. So my image is a digi stamp which my daughter gave me, coloured using Pro-markers, added some crimbo paper and also ribbon, sentiment and some candi dots. Xmas Shopping in July!

Well today my daughters and I went to the Matalan discount store, this is a Matalan store that sells all its ex stock for daft prizes form as little as 20p! So we spent only £42.00 between 3 of us and we had 2 black dresses, 5 ladies tops/jumpers, 5 mens tops, 2 mens jumpers, ladies pjs, nightdress, 6 scarves, kids jumper, kids tights, 2 sets kids hat and gloves, one pair of ladies shoes and one pair of ladies slippers and lastly 1 christmas decoration!!!!!!!!!!!!! What bargains and the two little black dresses for my daughters were £1.00 each and my bargain the two mens jumpers soft wool again £1.00 each! So some christmas shopping done in that lot. Brilliant, the only thing is you have to be there at the right time and we were today. Before we went there we had been to a small craft shop that I use and bought some lovely ribbon, another Molly Bloom stamp, which was also reduced today and my stash of Bazzil Bling card love it. So I think we had better not go out for a few days and do crafting as we won't spend any more money that way!

Well today I am all on my own as my two girls are having a girly day shopping in Newcastle and if there is one thing I don't do is shop with two young women, especially an eighteen year old, who seems to love trying clothes on for the sake of it and never actually buying anything, it does my head in. Today I have also had the housing group here putting my new exterior doors on, so I have had drilling and banging since 8am this morning, but thankfully they are now complete. So I have decided to enter this card for two challenges Ladybug Crafts Challenge which was a summer birthday and I love Promarkers Challenge which was anything goes and of course to use Promarkers. So this image is one of my faves and I have made my card for my friends daughter who is 18 in August, I have decided to keep it quite basic but still achieving the look I wanted. The image was stamped onto a die cut and then using Promarkers bluebell, lilac, amethyst, sandstone, caramel, vanilla, blush,meadow green and apple. I have then added a sentiment some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, which are lush and some numerals to match my colour combo.

Well finally I have got this picture on after my third attempt. Blogspot is really playing up over last couple of days don't know if anyone else is having problems- my eldest daughter was tearing her hair out earlier trying to update her blog. Anyway this card if I can link it- is for four challenges the sketch is for Papertake Weekly Challenge, then Christmas Crafting Challenge which was to add flowers to your crimbo card and then for Deep Ocean Challenge and Crazy Challlenge which was to use ribbons.My image is cute Penny Black image and I used some of my daughters stash for the lovely paper, kept to xmas colours mainly with ribbom and flowers and then added a sentiment. Another Crafting Session

Well we never got to the beach today as the weather has been overcast all day, so what did we do some more challenges and blog hopping etc. So my first card today is for two challenges Sketch Saturday, which is obviously the design outlay and also Lili of the Valley Challenge which was fun and games. So I picked greens and yellows as my theme for this card. The image I have used is of a little girl playing dress up with her mums clothes and shoes. Added a sentiment, a flourish and some matching colour themed flowers and added some card candi dots in the middle of the flowers. Hope you like it.

My final card for this week is for Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge which was to use numbers somewhere on your card. So I have made this card for my mum, whose birthday is not until November but she loves her bingo. So the image is decoupage and shows a lady who has obviously won the jackpot, unlike my mum who never seems to win anything! I have taken the colour from her dress as my main colour theme purple and added some purple ribbon down the side. I have added a sentiment and added some gem stones for her necklace and ear rings. Crafty Sunday With Daughters

Hi everyone well what a day we have had here today. Myself and my two daughters have had a crafty Sunday afternoon/evening, and I have enjoyed every minute, as there is usually only me sitting by myself on a weekend crafting all alone, so having the girls here is fab. Both my daughters have their own blogs and I have them on my side bar if you would like to pop over to their blogs and leave a comment I am sure they would love it.. Lindsay is only 18 and hasn't been blogging or doing challenges very long- although saying that she won Dutch Dare Challenge last week! How lucky! So here is my first card for this week and its for Bunny Zoe Craft Challenge, which is held monthly and the theme was Fun in the Sun. So I have used this stamp and sorry folks but don't know what the make is, as I picked it up at the NEC show last year in a bargain bin. Its a sweet image of two small children trying to catch the little fish on the banks of a river.

My second card I made today was for Sassy Studios Challenge and their theme this week was clean and simple, so I took it literally and used a Hanglar and Stanglar stamped images of this cutie doing what else cleaning her washing! Kept it really simple and used really calm papers, nothing loud or brash. Just added a sentiment and a few small flowers.

Just Magnolia Challenge this week was whats cooking, so this is my card and she is all ready to bake she has her rolling pin in her hand love Magnolia stamps they are so cute too. I have used the colour theme red and greens mainly. Once again quite a simple clean looking card, using tall card this time for a change, as square are my faves to use.

Well my next card is for triple entry card for Cute Card Thursday which is card for the man in your life and also for Totally Papercraft which is one for the boys and also for the monthly challenge from Lollipop Crafts which was anything goes. Well I have found another paper which I bought years ago when I first got into paper crafting and its got lots of boys toys on so I thought great I can finally use that paper I have. So I used that as my base and then used some denim effect paper also. The image is once again Hanglar and Stanglar, Copic Markers used again. I have kept this one quite simple and just added a sentiment which is usually true if most little boys.

So my next card is for Charisma Cardz Challenge and that was sunshine colours. So I have used a cute Hanglar and Stanglar image, I just love these cute images they are one of my style of stamps. So I have used some paper that I bought a couple of years ago and it has been in my stash all this time and it's of a lovely summer meadow. I cut the image out and added foam pads to give her a bit of a lift this image was coloured in using Copic Markers. I then added some lace, which I threaded some pink organza ribbon through, some purple butterflies and a lovely sentiment saying Butterfly Kisses which I thought was very apt.

This card is my card for I Love Promarkers Challenge and also Winter Wonderland which is holly and ivy. The images are from Kars range of stamps. So I used a blue card as my base and then I added some vellum over the top/ then added my images, added a sentiment and some ribbon and again just picked up some of the outlines with Stickles. The Promarkers I have used were Ice Grey 1 and 2, Slate, Vanilla, Peach, Moss, Forest Green,Ruby, Poppy, Berry Red, Blue Pearl and finally Denim Blue

My next card you may need a pair of sunglasses to look at it! It's my card for Dutch Dare Challenge, which was colour combo, Papertake Weekly cute and aw factor and I am also putting it forward for Allsorts Challenge which is free and easy July. So three in one here the colour combo was to use hot pinks, green, yellow, orange and I picked up the blue colour from their picture of the pool water. So as you can see all very bright colours and I have used bright card for the base and have used a very cute Penny Black stamped image, she is so cute. I have added some bright flowers and a simple sentiment, hope it hasn't blinded you too muchx

This is my entry for two challenges which are Penny Black and their theme was stars and also Spoonful of Sugar which was to use a tag. Challenges for the Week

Well afternoon everyone have been having a mega crafting session to do the challenges this weekend as we are having visitors on Monday, so know I will not get a chance to do more crafting until next weekend when they have returned home. So here is my first card of the weekend and I am going to put it into three challenges, the first Spoonful of Sugar Challenge which was pink and brown, the second was Totally Parecraft Challenge which is girly girls and my third is for Sassy Studio Designs which was to use die cuts. So as you can see lots of pinks and browns and the stamp I have used is new to my local craft shop and she is a Molly Bloom stamp, she's rather cute and very much a girly girl! I have put her onto a die cut oval and added a sentiment and some flowers to complete the card.

My second card from my crafting weekend is for Lili of the Valley Challenge which was pink and blue and Charisma Cardz Challenge which was to use stars on your card. So I have used this lovely image of the little girl playing mum and used Pro-markers to colour the image in. The stars are on the blue paper I have used. I have used some pretty flowers and brads to embellish my card, a sentiment and a bit of bling on two of the corners.

Well my third card is for Just Magnolia Challenge which was pink purple and pearls, Dutch Dare Challenge fwhich was to see buttons, brads,bling and a bow, so I have combined these two together. So I loved doing this card as my fave colour is purple yeh. So used a Magnolia image with her little cat, and used Pro-markers to colour her in and then added some pink pearly gems around the die cut. Added a sentiment, some flowers with buttons in the centre, a ribbon with a bow and some buttlerfly brads to complete.

Well this card is my next one and I really had a lot of ideas for this card and its for the Winter Wonderland Challenge, and that was wet or dry embossing. So I used an image and cut her out after using Copic markers to colour her in then I added her to an silver background which was dry embossed with a Christmas village scene and then added her to my base card which I had covered with some nice winter colour paper. Next I added some Flower Soft to give a snowy effect on and the ground and roof tops, and as the falling snow, which also has some gems to give it a bit of bling to the sky. Then I took some blue and white ribbon and twisted it to added to the side of the card and a snowy sentiment to finish.

My next card is of course Penny Black Challenge which was bunting and that was quite a challenge, I can tell you but after about four attempts I succeeded. So here is those cute little mice under the flower so sweet, I have used Pro- markers this time to colour the image and used soft colours as my background and bunting. I have added Forever Friends ribbon and a sentiment which says Snuggle. Then I have added some lovely flowers picking up the colours from the flower. I will also put this card into Cute Card Thursday which was to use circles and my image is on two die cut circular shapes then I have added some red paper buttons in the corner.

This card is my card for Papertake Weekly Challenge which was Hot Hot Hot and also for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. So this is my take on the sketch and then I have used a lovely stamp which I think is from the High Hopes range of two cute insects ( not sure if they are ants or bees!) getting warmed by the fire. I have used mainly hot colours reds, yellows, oranges and pinks. I have added a sentiment and a nice yellow organza bow to the side.

Well this is my last card of the weekend and its my card for Allsorts Challenge which is Free and Easy in July and I am also putting it into Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which is Holidays. So my image is a Rochelle Anne Miller Stamp of this cute little elephant going fishing which I know many people do on their hols especially the men folk. I have used my copic pens to colour him in, used nice bright summery flower and striped papers and added some nice bright pink ribbon, a sentiment and a couple of flowers. I Love Pro Markers Challenge

Well I am quick off the mark for the I Love Pro Markers Challenge and it was to use 1 ribbon, 2 papers and you could use either 2 buttons, gems or brads to embellish it. So here is my entry I have used mainly back and white with a hint of red. Promarkers used were vanilla, sandstone, caramel, poppy and of course black. I added some lush black and white spotty organza ribbon, some red gems and a sentiment. I enjoyed making this card, I love these colours together.

My first card is for the Lili of the Valley Challenge and it was this sketch. So I have used one of their cute stamps and used blues and purples for my colour theme, added a sentiment and some roses to finish it off, Think this is my second fave this week just love the girls have lunch/coffee sweet.

My next two cards I have used decoupage on them for a change this one is in my fave colour purple and the theme was flowers and it is for the Charisma Cardz Challenge, just simple a bit of ribbon and a sentiment.

My next card is for the Allsorts Challenge and that was free and easy and you could do what you wanted, so I decided I would make a card for my brother and sister in laws upcoming Wedding Anniversay and I think this is quite fun and I know they will laugh at it. Once agin it is decoupage and I hope you all get a giggle from it.

The next card is a double up Totally Papercraft Challenge which was the beach and also Sketch Saturday, which of course is the sketch. The stamped image is a Sugar Nellie stamp and I have used all summery colours to make this card. In the top corner I have used some bright yellow flowers to make it look like the sun.

Phew almost finished everyone hope you are still with me! This card is for Dutch Dare Challenge and their theme was summer. So I used a Hanglar Stanglar image of a little girl with a juicy strawberry, which to me is summer yum! I have used my Copic pens here to colur the image in and left it quite simple. I have tried my hand at an easel card, am not sure about these as I can never get them to stand up properly, oh well it behaved for the piucture taking.

Well down to the last two cards now and this one is Get Well Soon for Secret Crafter's Saturday Challenge and I have used lots of nice pinks on this card and thought it would cheer someone up who isn't well. The nurse stamp is from Cuddly Buddly I used my Copic markers once again, added some ribbon and some roses. I think this card is quite pretty and hope you all like it.

And my final card is for the Penny Black and Cute Card Thursday challenges. Penny Black was to use one of their images and Cute Card Thursday was to use lace on the card. So I have used a lovely little Penny Black stamp of these cute mice and hedgehog playing in the snow, used Pro markers to colour them in and mounted them on a die cut shape. At the top of the page I have threaded some red organza ribbon throught the lace and added some snowflake brads to finish it off. I love this card the images are so cute! Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at my cards and haven't got too bored looking! Hope you will drop by again soon.

Well my daughter Lindsay and I decided we would get back into the challenge mode and enter some of our creations into the card challenges this week, however it may take us a while as I am okay uploading my pics its just linking the cards to the relevant blogs I have trouble with, still not very quick on the uptake with the pc! So here is my first card and its a combined entry for Just Magnolia which is the sketch used with a Magnolia stamped image and is for Sassy Studio Design which was red, white and blue and also Winter Wonderland which was Red and Green must not be seen. I used a winter image of Magnolia and used red whites and blues to colour her in, the same colours for the base and then finished off with some flowers and a chiristmas greeting.

Hi there everyone well haven't been too well after having major op couple of weeks ago on side of face but before I went into hospital my youngest daughter, who had returned for the summer from uni was determined to keep my mind occupied before going into hospital. So the week before we did nothing but make cards and we made quite a lot I can tell you our little hands were very busy , so I have taken a general overshot picture and these are just the ones I made!!!

Well I haven't posted anything on my blog for well over six months and its just not good enough! So from today I am going to do my blog every week even if I haven't made any cards but thats my other promise to myself that I am going to get back into my crafting and make time for myself to do what I want to do for a change. In the last six months we have had my daughters wedding, and I will post some pics on here when I learn how to do it, that is another hurdle to learn how to put stuff on my laptop! My youngest has gone off to uni in Lincoln, where she is studying law and loving it. The house is very quiet now and miss her terribly but they have to spread their wings and she has made lots of new friends at uni from all over the country and dosen't seem to be missing home to much. Well a lot of challenges this week so I have combined a lot of them. My first card is for three challenges the sketch is Sketch Saturday Challenge, the next is Saturday Challenge a new one I have entered this week, which was to use three papers two embellishments and one image and the third is for Totally Papercrafts Challenge which was to use stiching or false stitching on the card phew!

My next card is my card for this weeks Allsorts Challenge which was this sketch. I have kept this card really simple, using another set of stamps that I bought last year at the NEC in a bargain box and have never used. I have used shades of green to pick out all the greens in the image. I like this stamp it's rather cute I think, of the kids trying to get the fish!

My last card from yesterday is for this weeks Penny Black Challenge which was a sketch so here is my take on their challenge this week. Using two cute images from their range again keeping it fairly simple again, except maybe overdoing it with the flowers. I have kept the theme mainly pinks and browns. Rainy Dismal Day Here in Sunderland!

Morning fellow crafters, well its not a very nice day here, grey and dismal and now its started to rain. Oh well that means another day of blog hopping! I found a small storage box this morning in my bedroom empty or so I thought, inside I found a DCWV paper pad, two brand new stamps I had bought before Christmas (a Sarah Kay one and a Magnolia one) and some Prima flowers!Now all I have to do is find my Rock a Blocks? I threw all my acrylic blocks out when I purchased these and have some stamps I would like to try out but have been unable too as I am sure my teenage daughter borrowed them while ago and has never put them back! My oldest daughter bought me a set of the Beatrice Potter stamps too and am dying to use them also, I think maybe I am going to have to go and purchase some blocks of some sort. Well yesterday some stuff I ordered for my daughters hen night arrived how exiting, hopefully some more will arrive today. Well thats it for today love and hugs Arlinex

Well good afternoon everyone, here are another four cards I have created for the challenges this week. My first is for Friday Sketchers Challenge.Here I have used some freebie papers that I got off a mag this week. Then I have picked the colours out of my image to use on my card which I coloured with Promarkers and finished it off with co-ordinating coloured ribbons and flowers. Then used a cute stamped sentiment.

This next card is for Just Magnolia Challenge which was a sketch and this is my version of it. Using some more of the freebie papers I have used pinks and purples as the theme here. I have used another of my images received of friend Becky and coloured her in with Promarkers, added some Prima Flowers and a little sentiment.

This card is a combined two challenge entry. First for Just Cute Bears Challenge, which was to use buttons and bows and Totally Papercrafts Challenge which was the sketch I have followed. I used some pale yellow bazzil card as my base and then cut the triangular shape from some card in my stash, then added my image which a stamp from Cuddly Buddly, coloured in this time with my Whisper pens. I have tried to keep this card bright but with nice spring colours in mind. Added some lovely paper flowers which I bought at the NEC and are not Prima! Can't remember who made these but you got so many bags for a fiver, bargain! A sentiment and some peach bows to finish the card off.

And finally from me today, my last card is f0r two challenges also. This time Sketch Saturday(its under there some where I promise!) and Penny Black Challenge which was to use your punches. So my image and sentiment is of course from the PB range, I have used browns and pinks on this card. I have used a large punch to mount my image and then have used this again and then quartered the shape to add to the central shape and to finish it off some small flowers. Hiya everyone. Well have had a canny weekend apart from the old abdo pain, and the less said about that the better. My youngest daughter and I yesterday had to go into town and purchase some more bits for the eldest daughters forthcoming hen night and to buy a small gift for someone at work who is leaving to have a baby ah! Any how we had a canny day as I said buying balloons banners etc, although its funny but in Primark some tshirts and hair accessories fell into my basket which were for youngest daughter, hm wonder how I ended up paying for those and it also cost me a tiara for her prom which is in July, so although I told her we weren't buying anything for her I still ended up spending money on her funny how that happens isn't it mums? Then when I got home had a phone call from bride to be, to say the lady who she had booked for her hen night to do a Pamper Evening had rung to say she couldn't now do it that weekend and maybe she could change her hen night to another date, least to say that didn't go down well as most people have been invited and arranged to travel to her home that weekend. We were both
angry that this woman just thought we could change everything for her after she had been booked for a while now! Some people don't seem to care about letting people down these days.
Well today have been to see my mum and when I got back decided to do a bit of blog hopping and was astonished to find that my card for last weeks Just Cute Bears Challenge had been picked at random and I have won a nice little teddy stamp, so thats alovely way to end my afternoon. Now to the more mundane jobs going to put washing on and then sit tonight and do my cards for this weeks challenges. Thanks for dropping by. Love Arlinex

Hen Night Shopping!

Well today I have been on line purchasing some bits for my daughters forthcoming hen night, which is at the end of May. I was told they had to be tasteful, but that has been a task in its self! After a morning of having problems with my paypal log in, finally got the things ordered. So I thought had to have a little retail therapy of my own. So I have been to my local craft shop, where I had saved some loyality points from last year, so decided I would spend them today and bought some nice papers and some nice ribbons she had just had delivered. That was quite good because I had £13 to spend and managed to spend it all and a little more besides. Hope you have all had a great week crafting. Hugs Arlinex

Another Four Challenges I am All Blogged Out lolx

Here is my first card of the day its for the Pollycraft Challenge and that was to add flowers but you had to make them somehow. Anyhow hope this is okay as I used some paper I had in my stash and cut the flowers out of the paper, not very original I know but I thought it a good idea at the time. The image is a Joanna Sheen stamp which I haven't used for quite a while but I love these stamps, I coloured it using my Promarker pens and added a little sentiment kept it quite plain really.

My next effort is for the Just Cute Bears Challenge which was the above sketch. I have used a stamp from Cuddly Buddly and this time I have used some Whisper pens to colour the image in. To finish it off I have added a sentiment and some small Prima flowers.

This card is for the Sketch and Stash Challenge and I found this stamp when I was sorting out my craft stuff about a month ago and I am sure this is the first time I have used it. I used some bright striped paper as my base and took my colours from there really. Using my Promarkers to colour these sweet little angels in, added some of my new Prima flowers, which arrived today, from the people at The Craft Garden who supplied the prize I won last week from the PB Challenge and they are gorgeous, aren't they? I have added some flower braiding on the bottom and a sentiment to finish the sketch off.

The final card from me today is for a Spoonful of Sugar challenge, which this week was 3d. So using spring colours of greens and yellows, I used this stamped imaage my friend Becky sent me some time ago. I coloured two of the images in and then cut one Magnolia out and decoupaged the image, I think you can just see the layering at the bottom and on her little hat. This is such a lovely image of her. I added a sentiment and off course some spring coloured flowers. I think this is my favourite card of the day, but hope you like my efforts and thanks for dropping by. Love Arline x

Good morning everyone what a morning, finally have been able to upload images, kept losing them for some reason this morning. Anyhow, here are my efforts from a busy Saturday crafting. This first card is a combined challenge for Pollycraft Challenge sketch and the theme was from Spoonful of Sugar Challenge, which was happy birthday. I have used mainly blues, yellows and greens on the card. The image is a cute, little chef with-of course-a birthday cake and I am just going to get this challenge on in time.

My next card is another two in one. This time it is for Just Magnolia and my take on the Friday Sketchers Challenge this week. So I have used a cute image of Magnolia blowing kisses, using my Promarkers to colour. I have used some cupcake paper as my base and then some spotty paper to overlap as on the sketch. Some flowers and of course a sentiment just saying a cheery hello so it can be used as a general card for anything.

Here is my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge and my take on it. I have tried to use nice bright colours and with this sentiment, which is one once again which can be used as a general card to someone. Hope you like the image I have used she is so cute, isn't she? Wonder what she is thinking? Some small flowers to finish card off.

And finally my take on this weeks Penny Black challenge, which I was lucky enough to win last week . I was thrilled. This was to use three flowers,two buttons and one bow, so here is my version. The image I have used this week of the cute little hedghog I decided to colour him in using just some ordinary coloured pencils for a change, and even though I say so myself I am rather pleased at the outcome. I have used some spotty card which was double sided and I have then turned it over to mat and layer with the alternative colour. Using the colours from my card I have added the flowers, buttons and bow to co-ordinate as such. Hope you have enjoyed looking at my cards this week and thanks for dropping by.

Well my first card of the weekend is this lovely pink number for Friday Sketchers Challenge, so here is my take on their sketch. Using various colours of pinks, some nice flowers bought at the NEC in November and a cute image of a little girl with her kitty.

My next creation is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge, Here I have used turquoise and pinks. The image is a Sarah Kay stamp of her feeding her little dolly, cute. I have coloured her using my Coppic markers, added some Prima flowers, a sentiment and some little sticky pearls to finish the card off.

And finally my last card of the weekend is the Penny Black Challenge, which was to use their images and sentiments with the colour brown! Quite hard this, but I had some Papermania brown scalloped cards in my stash and also some small Prima flowers which I bought a couple of years ago in a mixed jar and they were ideal for this challenge. So have used this cute little image of some mice celebrating a birthday and used Pro markers to colour the image in. Hope you like my attempts this week and thanks for dropping by.

Busy Busy Busy Another Three Cards Today!

Well I have been busy again today, I have had the old fingers working doing some more challenges. My first card is two in one, I have followed the sketch from this weeks Sketch and Stash and challenge and then I have combined this with this weeks Pollycraft Challenge, which was to use pink, browns and to use either green or yellow on you card. Using brown bazzil card as my base and then used some pinks and brown papers. The image is a stamp from the Kars stamps, which are real cute. I have used pro .markers to colour her in and added some flowers, one being yellow and a little sentiment

Here is my second card for the day and again two challenges in one. This one is A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge and their sketch to follow and also Just Cute Teddies Challenge, which was to use flowers with a teddy. I have made this card with a friend in mind who isn't very well at the moment, so I have tried to make it nice and bright! So I have used various coloured bazzil card on this card and the brown with flowers is DCWV card out of one of their pads, which I have hardly used. I have added some striped ribbon which I found in my stash and it has all the colours I have used on it. My image is a Cuddly Buddly stamp of a little nurse, checking her thermometer. I have then added some lovely bright flowers(which I bought last year when we were doing the university open day weekends!) and just finished them off with a couple of buttons and a get well sentiment.

My final card of the day is for the Papertake Challege, which was to make a card called Cutie Pie. Well here is mine and he is so cute , don't you think? Here is my little grey bear sitting crying on his cushion. Everyone say aah! I have used Coppic markers to colour this little ted in and mat and layered him on purple card and added a spotty ribbon. I have used a dark purple as my base and added some purple daisy paper as the base and then added my image. Some little daisy flowers and buttons and a sentiment. And just to finish it off some little adhesive pearls. If you haven't guessed by now, my fave colour is purple. Thanks for dropping by and having a look at my cards.

Hi everyone here is my card for the Penny Black Challenge and I have used the layout from this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge, so two for the price of one. My PB stamp is one which I bought at the NEC in November and I love these cute mice doing breakfast, I have coloured them using Pro markers. I took some blue card as my base and then used some lovely bright striped paper on top of that, then I have taken the colours out of the stripes to embellish my card. The challenge from PB also asked us to use some buttons on the card so I have added buttons to my Prima flowers and then finished it off with a small sentiment. Friday Sketchers Chaellenge

Well here we are with another card I made today. This one is for the Friday Sketchers challenge and this was a great sketch to follow and just so happened as I was about to start it , my daughter asked me if I could make a card for her friend who is 18 tomorrow, so with that in mind here is my card. I used gold mirri board as the base card and used some turquoise paper on top of that. I picked the colours out of the image I had coloured, the image is coloured using Coppic markers. I have added some little bows and a sentiment near the image. Then I have added some Prima flowers and of course 18 to the card. My daughter was thrilled with it and hope her friend is too. Just Magnolia Challenge

This is my card for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge and that was to use some punches! So I have made a Thank You card this time. I have used some pink card for my base and then some spotty paper and I have then picked out some of the colours out of the paper and used a large flower shaped punch and trimmed them down to place on the corners of the card. Then using the same colours I have punced some small circles out and dotted them around the card. I have then used my image and coloured her with Pro markers, added some Prima flowers, a sentiment and a little ribbon to finish it off. Hope you like my card , thanks for dropping by.

Two in One Challenge!

This is my card for two challenges in one combined. Just Bears Challenge, which was to use yellow and green, and Spoonful of Sugar Challenge, which was one for the boys. So I have used some yellow bazzil card as my base, some green and white Happy Birthday paper. Then I have used a cute bear stamp fishing and layered him onto some green card, using Coppic pens to colour him in and as a little twist I have cut out a little fish and added him onto his fishing line and just finished it off using some green and yellow ribbon and embellishments. Here is my last card I have made this weekend and it is for Just Magnolia challenge.The challenge was to use folds on your card and use Magnolia images. Here I have used two small square cards and stuck them together and then I have folded the front and made a curved shape on both sides, so it overlaps each side. Using purple and green as the main colours, I haved used some purple ribbons and green flowers and used a cute stamped image and put her little dog on the fold of the other side of the card, and just added a cute sentiment to finish it off. Ihave put another image on to show the front of the card.

With this card I have combined two challenges Friday Sketchers and Lili of the Valley, whose challenge was this week silver and blue and to use one of their images. I have used this cute image of the little unicorn, used blue as the main theme in the sketch and finished it off with silver embellishments. Hope you like the finished result.

This is my favourite challenge card I have done this weekend its for the Sketch Saturday challenge. I have used blacks and reds in this one. I have used lots of ribbons and lace and some lovely flowers all with the red and black theme. The stamp I have used was one I bought last summer in the fishing port of Whitby(where Dracula landed apparently) and I love this stamp. Here is my first card for some time as I haven't had any spare time and as I am off sick at the moment thought I would get back into the challenges. This card is for the Sketch and Stash challenge. I have used a scalloped card as the base , which I bought a while ago and forgot about them, as with the ribbon found that in the bottom of my craft stash yesterday, so thought I would use that also. I have used pro markers to colour my image in and picked out the colours from the base card. I hope I have managed to put these on there;levant blogs okay its a while since I did this. Hope all who visit like my first challenge for a while.

The first card above is for the Penny Black challenge this week it was to show some one you loved them using one of their images. So I have used this cute stamp of two little hedgehogs, its really sweet. I have used a pale lilac card for my base colour and some paper with lilac hearts on it. I have used Promarkers to colour the image in, used some lilac ribbon, lilac flowers from Flora Doodles and a sentiment from Penny Black too. To finish it off I have added some pink heart buttons and some gems.

My next card is for the Just Magnolia challenge,and it was their sketch with a Magnolia character, so I thought I may as well make a christmas card, to add to my collection. I used some Dovecraft papers onto red base card,and then used some silver and red spotty ribbon down the centre behind the image. The image is the Magnolia Santa and I have matted some silvermirri card under him and then added some white Mulberry Flowers and ice blue embellishments in the centre and a Merry Christmas sentiment to finish it off.

My final card today is for Sketch Saturday challenge, and this is my take on their sketch, again I have made another christmas card. This time I have used some beige card for my base colour and then some lovely brown christmas paper with winter words on it. Then I have punched some more beige card out into wavy circles, then put a Forever Friends stamped image on top of them, adn then added my brown spotty ribbon. I have used Coppic markers this time to colour the image in, added some brown flowers with pink flowery buttons and some pink embellishements . And finally to finish it off a christmas sentiment. And finally my card for Friday Sketchers challenge and I have decided to use their sketch to make another Christmas card. I have used rich reds and browns for this card as my card and paper colours. I have stamped an image from an Alotta stamp which has two little ants warming their hands by the fire.( I thought they were bumble bees but I was wrong) Coloured them in using Coppic markers added some ribbon around the middle and added a sentiment on the bottom corner. To finish it off I have added some lovely flowers from Mulberry Street. Hope you have enjoyed looking at all my efforts, thanks for dropping by.

Here is my next card for Sketch and Stash and My Time to Craft challenges. Obviously the sketch is for the first challenge and the farm is for the next challenge. My stash I have used were some large brads which I forgot I had to thread my ribbon through and the ribbon was in a bag upstairs under my bed! I used some pretty DCWV papers and card for the base of my card a Get Well Soon sentiment and somelittle Prima flowers. The farm image is another of those lovely Kars stamps and the image is coloured in using Pro markers this time.

This is my card for Lili of the Valley challenge and it was their sketch, and Pollycraft challenge which was furry friends. I have used Joanna Sheens messy rabbit stamped image he's adorable, with his nightshirt on. Coloured him using Coppic markers and cut him out. For the base I have used some turquoise card and then some striped papers, added some lace and ribbon , some Prima flowers and a sentiment and just finished it off with some little gems.

And finally for today this is my card for the Just Magnolia Challenge which was ribbons and bows and of course a Magnolia image. So here is my card all purple colour theme with this cute image of Magnolia with her cup cake. I have used purple dotty papers and dotty ribbon which I threaded through some little heart buckles. Finished off with some samll bows and a metal disc sentiment Smile! and fastened on with yes you've guessed purple ribbons

And so to another card and another challenge this one is for Cutie Sunday challenge. A lovely simple sketch and I have used a Joanna Sheen stamp and sentiment and its so typical of many of us I would think lol. I have used some spotty paper, used Pro markers to colour in the image and some green flowers to finish it off.

Hereis my card for Sketch Saturday, I have used one of my new stamps from the Sugar Nellie range, she is so cute. I have coloured her in using my Pro markers mat and layered her onto navy card and then on to some paler blue card. Used some co-ordinating papers and a sentiment. I have taken some flower border and stuck some pearlised dots onto this and finished it off with some small blue flowers.

Here is my card for this weeks Penny Black challenge which was Christmas. I have used this cute little mouse image reading his Christmas list, used some lovely backing paper, a Penny Black sentiment. I have finished it off by adding some of my new Kars Christmas flowers, some little stars on the image and punched some snowflakes out of coloured card.

This is my card for two challenges Cute Card Thursday and Friday Sketches the theme was a new something for the Thursday challenge so have made a new baby boy card I have used bright yellow and blue papers for this challenge and coloured my sketch in with Coppic markers added a sentiment and finished the sketch off by adding some pearlised dots to the four corners.

Yesterday my daughter Lindsay and I decided instead of having a day out in the bank hoilday crowds we would stay in and craft and do lots of challenges and what a great time we had and according to my youngest son made a right mess in the lounge oh well, we had a good time anyway. So here is my first card. This is my card for My Time to Craft Challenge the theme was to have a beverage in the image, so I have used a stamped image of two friends meeting for a coffee, I have added some funky paper and a couple of Prima flowers with the sentiment Ladies who lunch.

Here is my card for Cutie Sunday Challenge. This image is one of my new Kars stamps they are so cute and I have now 4 sets of these and it's all my daughter Arlines fault as she bought me a set when I was laid up to cheer me up and now every time I see a new set I buy them! I have used all christmas time colours as I thought I would get started and try and get enough cards made this year. I have used Pro Markers to colour her in and used this lovely paper which I also found in my box from last year. I have used a couple of christmas greetings and some paper flowers on the corners. To add a bit of glitz I have put some red glitter on her ribbons and dress and some green on the holly. Thanks for dropping by.

Here is my first challenge for Just Magnolia Challenge the theme was Friends. The base of my card is some funky large spotty card which I love but can't remember where I got it from, thats the trouble when you haven't used your stash for so long! The stamped image is the Magnolia couple just about to give each other a friendly kiss. This is my entry for Sketch Saturday Challenge. I have made this card for my friends daughter who will be 16 this week and it's very girly don't you think. All pinks and purples. I bought this stamp just before I had my fall so haven't used it until now, the hippo is so cute having her bath with her little duck. The zig zag paper is out of my new DKWV paper and card stack I have just purchased, with some vouchers I was given. Its yummy. Hi this is my first challenge for some months as I have had a fractured wrist but hopefully I will be up and running now. This is my card for The Friday Sketch Challenge. I have used a cute image and used Coppic markers to colour it in, using greens and oranges. I have used some Bazzil bling for the base and some papers from my scrap box.
